The study found that areas that voted for Trump by at least 60% in November 2020 had death rates 2.7 times higher than counties that voted heavily for Biden.”

    Maybe rogan should keep babbling.

Of the podcast I’ve watched Rogan does not talk much about Covid…people are acting like he goes on and on he doesn’t, at least in the podcast I’ve watched…and often when Covid comes up he promote a healthy lifestyle, lost weight, eat healthy, avoid sugar, sugery drinks…etc…is this misinformation?  Maybe many people today think it’s misinformation because it’s easier to be lazy and fat …

I agree for the most part.  I think the Problem is when he has quacks on and lets them spout unsubstantiated garbage without proof to back it up.  This leads to heavy confirmation bias and people believing that there is no virus, the vaccines don't work, Invermectin is the cure, ventilators are what is really killing people etc.

Melt…he specifically said if you’re young and healthy you shouldn’t worry about Covid vaccines and ivermectin successfully treats Covid. It doesn’t matter how often he said it, he did and never corrected himself

is he a doctor? Is he a scientist? Does he have scientific studies that can be reviewed by specialists? Or is he providing misinformation on topics which he has no specialty ….. for profit? Did he bother to mention that Covid vaccines cut serious disease risk by a factor of 20x with minimal side effects? Two thousand percent less risk?

did he bother to mention nearly 250,000 Americans under 65 died from Covid?

back in the day people needed specialty to talk regularly to the masses and face editorial control for quality assurance. These days any bozo with a mic can say whatever tf they want without repercussions

Trump is out of office so a new Villain is needed. MTG and Gaetz et al don't quite move the needle on ratings. Gotta comb through hours of content, find his most facepalm moments, and paint that as the thrust to keep people worked up.

We also live in a world where musicians and actors wield influence as well.  If you don’t like Rogan, don’t listen…Neil was just looking for an excuse to leave Spotify…he left spotify in 2014 over his dislike of digital music…

this is kinda silly. I mean, to take Neil seriously, I think you have to take into consideration if his demand not being met would even make a difference in his life. he's risking nearly zero if spotify calls his bluff. he makes no money off spotify. no one does. and exposure at his level is meaningless. Rogan is one of their biggest assets. he's just taking a "moral" stand without having to really back it up with anything.
I'd say if he has little to lose, and the potential to start a trend (i.e. other artists following suit) for positive reasons - why not?

I've seen stranger things 'go viral'.
yeah, I just don't see it happening. it's pretty transparent (to me) that it's kind of an empty cause. I doubt there's very much crossover in Rogan fans and Young fans. Younger bands like PJ? sure, so it's a bigger risk to make a stink about really....not much. Spotify won't get rid of rogan.

Oh, I don't think Neil's naive enough to believe his music alone would do anything. The hope is that other musicians who look to him and admire him, may think twice about their own relationships with Spotify. That's sort of the nature of grassroots, and I know Neil looooves them hippie movements.

that's what I mean though ben. the younger bands that look up to neil have much more to lose if they follow suit. So I don't see it happening. unless some of the older ones like Bruce or a big pop artist like Taylor or whoever the kids worship these days.

Meaningless. Blame Rogan all you want. Whatever makes certain types feel better. Another misleading, politically driven headline.
