Not again.
They did succeed in getting the league to blackball Kaepernick (get the son of a bitch out of there!) the hell out of the league for taking a knee for 60 seconds. Meanwhile they look the other way at the Trump insurrectionists violently trying to overthrow the government. There is no greater hypocrite than the Trump "Conservative Republican."
The outcome was completely different. Even by your statement you suggest the goal was probably to downgrade their TV schedule, and not ban NFL. I don’t even think that was the goal, but rather for the NFL commission to enforce the national anthem, and not to cancel anything.
But either way, there’s a difference between expressing your opinion or even boycotting, vs a complete ban and eliminating anyone from viewing it. If it were the same and the NFL was “canceled” there’d be no NFL. That’s the whole meaning of canceling something, not just make the ratings suffer a few points.
Making the ratings suffer a few points and forcing sponsors to to leave a show is what leads to cancellations. It is literally the first step. Unfortunately for them, they are the very vocal minority in this country and it had zero chance of actually coming to 100% fruition. But you are fooling yourself if you think their stupid boycott actually lead to the cancellation of the NFL that Donald Trump wouldn't have made that his main campaign issue last year. "I defeated the NFL! I am all powerful! You're welcome America!"
Hypocrites. That is all Trump "conservatives" are.

It was an easy way for him to rile up the idiots & racists in his base under the guise of supporting the troops. because who doesn't want to support the troops?
Edit: your statement hammers home my underlying point - when it came down to supporting the troops or supporting black NFL players protesting systemic racism, that was a no brainer for Trump supporters.
When it came down to supporting Black Lives Matter or Blue Lives Matter, that was a no brainer for trump supporters. (it was pretty great how conservatives made that into a binary choice, one or the other... it's almost as if they WANT to divide Americans)
All that shit went out the window on 1/6, which tells us it was never about the troops or supporting police. They were just pawns in the GOP messaging.Post edited by Merkin Baller on0 -

They tried and failed to "cancel" the NFL. They also tried and failed to "cancel" Nike after they signed Kaepernick to that endorsement deal.
Just because the ultimate outcome wasn't met, doesn't mean they did not attempt to "cancel" those things. That is absurd.www.myspace.com0 -

it was cringe-worthy in its dramatics. like you said, it was all about jokes during the roast about him and the olsens. and people are believing some loser youtuber without context or evidence of anything.
and some say cancel culture is "made up". Sure. LOL.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0 -
Comments on a youtuber’s page equates to being “cancelled?” Or jokes made at a roast that lead to said comments? Evidence seems to be a statement taken out of context regarding an incident on the set of Full House and jokes told at his expense at his Comedy Central Roast. Probably time for some of his comedy to go away but I don’t think the dude needs slandered.
it was cringe-worthy in its dramatics. like you said, it was all about jokes during the roast about him and the olsens. and people are believing some loser youtuber without context or evidence of anything.
and some say cancel culture is "made up". Sure. LOL.
But in fairness, who's trying to cancel him? The first thing I heard about this was here in this thread... when I search Twitter, there's a little chatter about it, but honestly, I had to go search it out, it's definitely not mainstream, at least from what I've seen.
If the mob is going after Bob Saget, I think people may have forgot to tell the mob.0 -

all it takes is one "influencer" to regram/tweet it out and his career is over.By The Time They Figure Out What Went Wrong, We'll Be Sitting On A Beach, Earning Twenty Percent.0
