Dave Abbruzzese comments on his omission from the MTV Unplugged DVD cover

Dave's a masterful and wizard of a drummer. But he has long conflicted with the group's ideals. Clear as day.
The Art direction for the Unplugged sleave simply points to the 4 members still current. Case closed. Stop your cryin'!

I'm not sure if he expects a Christmas card from the guys every year or what. He's a former member that continues to get properly credited.
I don't see how anyone actually reading the OP can come away with not being sure if he expects a Christmas card from the guys every year or what.2003 Clarkston MI #2 | 2004 Grand Rapids MI | 2013 London ON | 2014 Detroit MI | 2016 Toronto ON #1 | 2025 Nashville TN #20 -

Well...I for one miss Dave A. Vs. would have been, in my opinion, an average album if Matt Cameron had been the drummer. Dave made Vs the album it is. Having said that I have a feeling in my gut that Dave may have been too much for Yield and I love Yield.

He was PJ's drummer during their most influential period and the height of their popularity? Dave Krusen wasn't able to tour for Ten, Matt Chamberlain was a temp, so Dave A. was hired and he was the drummer through all that early 90s craziness. Then at the height of his career he gets fired from one of (if not the) biggest bands in the world. Then for the rest of all the time the band doesn't like to talk about his contributions.I dunno. I'd probably be bitter if I was in that scenario

Dave did not make Vs. the record it is. That is not a knock on his drumming, he sounds great on it and is able to really show his ability to play across various types of songs. But Vs would have been the record it was with any compentent drummer.
To say Dave would have been too much for Yield is a bit puzzling while also asserting he made Vs what it was. He absolutely could play in that vein.
Dave is a great drummer, I wish he could have found his groove outside of music with the guys and they with him, but it is long over. His eminence has yet to show.

What the hell has the vinyl release to do with the topic of the thread?Post edited by Spiritual_Chaos on"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -
Dave should focus on the present. He got a golden ticket and blew it. It’s like your friend still talking about an ex 20, almost 30 fuggin years later. Give me a break, move on.0

Dave A. knew going in that the band viewed the drummer as a fungible asset... he was already the third guy sitting in that seat. He should have adapted his personality to the rest of the band if he wanted to stay.

Probably been spending most of his life coping with that, and the fact that most people don't find two golden tickets let alone 2.I suppose it doesn't help that people ask him these questions. I suppose he could not do interviews.0

This image being painted in here of this "scorn ex (member) that for the world just can't get past his former partner/band" is a rock and roll stereotype individuals like on2legs are doing the hardest to squeeze Dave A into - but it doesn't hold much water if you look at the actual history.
So, start to think about why these posters are in here doing that, why they feel the need to try to do that -- instead of accepting that fabricated view as reality.
Would one not understand Peter Criss for being critical if a video re-release of ALIVE II looked like this:
Or would one be completely unable to see the ciritism with some excuse of "The Art direction for the Unplugged sleave (read: Alive II sleeve) simply points to the 4 (read: 2) members still current. Case closed. Stop your cryin'!" as dreamweaver chose to put it.
