If they end up pausing the EPL season, and possibly european leagues (seems unlikely at the moment) they would be the possibility that the Champs League will have to be moved to the summer again like last year so god knows what that would do to the euros. The euros can't be moved to 2022 as thats the world cup scheduling, so it seems a real possibility if we lose football in the coming months that the whole thing could be pulled anyway0 -
Interesting article here about festival organisers going cap in hand to the Government to buy them some more time for summer shows: https://uk.reuters.com/article/uk-health-coronavirus-britain-festivals/uk-music-festivals-call-for-help-to-survive-until-summer-idUKKBN29A2DW

It's interesting that Bruce Springsteen has said he isn't planning for any shows this year, he thinks it'll be early 2022 before things get moving againIf hope could grow from dirt like me, it can be done.......0

I think 2021 is toast for large concerts. The vaccine rollout is not going to be quick enough.0

I purposefully haven't booked flights and hotels yet and have a bunch of EU shows booked. Seems almost certain these shows aren't going ahead... hope they tell us sooner rather than later."Hey Eddie, great show-- fuck you!"

Will be interesting to see when they cancel. I'd guess early march, tho I suppose they may be forced to delay the announcement until the festivals confirm cancellation and I wouldn't be surprised if something like BST delay cancellation until fairly late - april/may.0

Tricky situation to cancel given the amount of times some tickets have been traded. Postpone is better0

I agree postpone is better but the Euro tour is totally different than the US tour in the sense if you want to go to a show and get GA you could do all of the shows no problem aside from Amsterdam so getting tickets in the future will not be a problem. With the US it would be a huge headache considering the demand and the face to fan system that was in place.0 -
Give everyone the option of a refund or keep their tickets till 2022 would be the best idea. But we need to know by the end of March when the current refund window ends0

You can‘t add shows to a rescheduled itinerary and then cancel due to the same reason you rescheduled. I think they had a backup plan from the moment they announced the new dates. Everybody knew it was / is gambling with 2021 so I take the new dates as an indicator there is a backup for 2022.0

First cancellation of summer 2021 ive seen so farI’m expecting something similar for Osheaga, though it’s the first weekend in Aug so there is more time.It was quite a surprise to see Red Rocks announce summer programming (dates as soon as May) last week. Is COVID not an issue in the greater Denver area?Post edited by PeterED onBarrie, Ontario (August 05, 1992); Toronto, Ontario (August 18, 1993); Toronto, Ontario (October 05, 2000); Buffalo, New York (May 02, 2003); Toronto, Ontario (May 09, 2006); Toronto, Ontario (May 10, 2006); Toronto, Ontario (August 21, 2009); Buffalo, New York (May 10, 2010); Toronto, Ontario (September 11, 2011); Toronto, Ontario (September 12, 2011); Toronto 1 (May 10, 2016); Toronto 2 (May 12, 2016); Ottawa (September 3, 2022); Hamilton (September 6, 2022); Toronto (September 8, 2022)0 -
Heartbreaking as it is, it's getting harder to understand why they're not calling it now. There is no chance we're going to be in the clear within 5 months for any of this. Things are so bad we're not even allowed into other countries. Wide distribution of vaccines is months away still. The first 3 seasons of 2021 are a wash, whether we like it or not. And not the good kind of Wash.0
