    Shame people are so stupid. I haven't locked myself in my home since March. I worked in the office until August when I got a new position and now work from home. Regardless, I've been to stores, visited National Parks in the summer and take walks/hikes frequently. I wear a mask around others and honestly I can count on one hand how many times I've been in close contact with someone else who was not wearing a mask since March. I'm baffled how 150,000 Americans are becoming infected daily, it's not that hard to keep your distance and act responsibly. I don't support a 'Lockdown" because at that point you are unfairly punishing the people who have acted responsibly for 8 plus months. Not to mention the harm to the economy, small business in particular. Unless we get a legit stimulus which seems far fetched at this point. I intend on spending Thanksgiving week at Death Valley, exploring nature while socially distancing and living my life. If the government wants to step in and tell me I can't and that's being irresponsible than fuck them at this point. Go talk to the people having mass gatherings and the rest of the oblivious fucks.

    Plenty of BLM land out there to explore, shutdown won't effect that..

    just saw on local news that the biggest hospital system in st louis has kaboshed elective cases until further notice. the news said that the hospital system is even looking at stopping other surgeries and is evaluating on a case by case basis. they have no beds available for patients to have any form of surgery requiring 23 hour observation.

    i call on this hospital system. i am probably hosed for hitting my quota now. god damn it.

    in all honesty, they should have bagged these cases and shut down electives before halloween.

    Yeah, it's been  refreshing to "see" the Trumpers disappear and all the signs removed from yards. There's still lunatics all around me, but I think they've retreated in to their homes and internet echo chambers to scream at libs and prepare for Biden's Brigade to come take away all their guns.

    Masks only prevent some of the spread. You can wear a mask and constantly sanitize/wash your hands and still get it. A lot of people are doing everything right and get sick. You’re not preventing it, you’re just reducing the risk.

    I'd be interested to see the numbers on how many people who are "doing it right" that actually get it? I don't know of anyone who maintained 6 feet, wore a quality mask properly and was good about hand washing who got it. Everyone I have contact traced at work or personally know failed at one or all of those criteria. Obviously certain professions are required to be within 6 feet so there's not much they can do, but nearly 100% of cases I know are social gathering related.
