BidenAll the naysayers seem to be forgetting that AZ looks strong for Joe while so far everything else is a repeat of 2016. Trump has lost votes in almost every state race. He didn't gain, but I think many were unrealistic about him keeping the race close because we don't want it to be close at all. Biden will win, but Trump will have wiggle room to drag this out. It's a hopeless situation...0

BidenSo the GOP is even making a solid run in many of the state seats here in MN.
My thoughts on this and national race:
The civil unrest over the summer has played a much bigger role than I think folks thought it would, or believed it would. Like a lot.
COVID:
GOP/Trump Believed that people were tired of it, and gambled that a few more deaths of people in their 80, 90, and 100s didn’t bother the majority. People saw the rallies, saw that Trump got over it fairly quick, and thought I miss getting together with people, I’m tired of all this social distancing, I’m ok with taking the chance of being sick for a few days to have a some what normal life back. Dems (being responsible) looked like no fun with the masks, virtual rallies and car rallies. Virtual rallies, what a horseshit idea.0 -

in the suburbs and cities Dems win 60-40, and in rural America trump wins 70-30. Then factor in the electoral college advantage, and that’s how you get someone like Trump doing well.
Dems still have a chance but fading slightly.0 -

We will be days away knowing who wins. PA said they will need a couple of days. MI says Friday, WI says not tonight. Same with GA.
AZ going to Biden gives him a couple of more outs at least. Either way should be a shit show for the next couple of days with them trying to get things sorted!0 -

I definitely think if George Floyd's murder doesn't happen, tonight might go differently. The GQP was able to paint the riots as Biden's base and scare people without actually saying anything racist. Hell, here in St. Paul, I felt uneasy for a few days (and from my seat of privilege, I was getting annoyed at how long it was going because I felt it was going to help Biden).
As for COVID, I feel like most people believe it's serious, but there are a lot of people that view any, and I mean any, requirements as "socialism." And there's just enough disinformation to 1) validate thoughts and 2) pass on to suckers for their consumption. And, yeah, COVID fatigue set in. I recall leaving my office in March thinking I'd be back by summer. I haven't been back since and we're officially not going back until June. At some point, people are going to decide "sure, I can work from home, but I'm not going to hide from life."
And all this to "owning the libs" and the Dems needed a better candidate.

PA. might not give final count until Friday.
A reporter from Michigan said that Michigan won't be given UNOFFICIAL count until around this time tomorrow night.0
