A lot to unpack here... what do you mean by "law and order"? The legal system has never been fair nor equally applied in this country. It is a fact that Black and Brown people are more likely to be stopped by police and arrested for the same offenses whites commit but are never arrested for (from driving without a license, driving drunk, to smoking marihuana, etc). Black people are a minority but make up the majority of the prison population. So, law and order for whom? What do you mean by "order"? As the racial justice activism, and the rise of Democratic Socialism have demonstrated there is a significant part of the population that believes that there is injustice and inequality in nearly all the structures of our society (law, economic, housing, employment). Do you deny the existence of structural inequality?. The second amendment, I have no issue with. I do take issue with people being allowed to buy military grade weapons and carry them in public. I assure you though, the moment more of us (Lefists, Latinos and supporters of BLM) start exercising our second amendment rights, conservatives are going to jump on gun regulations faster than you can say "Ronald Reagan". What is "true" vs "false" freedom of speech? Is there really a cancel culture? Seems to like every time a conservative screams "I've been cancelled" they end up getting a ton of coverage and support from the right, meanwhile academics and journalists are routinely fired for criticizing Israeli government policies towards Palestinians.Darth Lizard King said: But I am a big believer in law and order, tight borders, strong military and police, 2nd Amendment, and true freedom of speech (not the cancel culture/woke business that is going on now).

Yeah, I didn't know who they were calling "the socialist". What a joke. The MAGA people have nothing else to hold onto, so they will just call Biden a socialist and some of the other stable geniuses will gobble it up.Vedd Hedd said:
Biden being socialist is laugable. I am voting for Biden, but he is REALLY fairly centered. In any other country, Biden is Conservative, and a different party is the Liberal party.Tjm007 said:

you ask me, you all crazy to think either one of the two are going to change the issues in this country. They existed before this presidency and they will after. And this blame game back and forth is part of why these issues don’t get resolved instead of us coming together as one country0

I support Pearl Jam’s conviction to using their platform to support causes and and candidates they believe in. It’s their right and they take their responsibility seriously. We don’t always have to agree on the same candidates or the same policies. That said - here is a powerful message from a woman of color running for Congress. A message worthy of consideration this election season:

The democrats do not care about people all that much. The ultimate way to show you care is by universal health care...the dems have had opportunities to move forward...of course the insurance industry would not contribute to your shit show 2 party system.on2legs said:

let's see. there is this whole big thing called the republican party that has consistently and unanimously stood in the way of universal healthcare. the ACA is the best plan that the dems could have passed. it is far from perfect, but it is better than what we had before.Meltdown99 said:

had clinton won and with democrats taking the house, the dems would have worked to strengthen the ACA until they eventually won enough of a majority in the house and the senate to try pass universal healthcare. with the situation as it is now, universal healthcare is DOA in the senate."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

You might say I am very conservative. I believe in conserving water- especially in arid states, wildlife, natural resources, open space, and most of all, what little common sense and sanity remains in the good old U.S.A.Trump and many (perhaps most?) of his supporters on the other hand are very liberal with wasting and denigrating all of the above.Post edited by brianlux on"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

That Riden with Biden has one thing most political shirts don't have and that is there's a design on both sides. I wouldn't wear it but that comes off like a concert style tshirt.Ledbetterman10 said:Who on Earth would ever wear this? Even if you love Biden. Or...even if you totally hate Trump. Can you look like a bigger dork wearing a "It's Time to Vote/Ridin' With Biden" shirt on?
I'm actually a lot like you politically. Conservative on some things, liberal on others. I'm not a member of either party because they're both a joke. Voted for Obama in 2008, and then Romney in 2012. Would've preferred to vote republican in 2016...if the nominee wasn't Trump. Like you, I do think the band is sincere with their unabashed liberalism. And regarding your question about a MAGA-hat wearer wearing one at a PJ show not to antagonize, but because they wear it every day. It would be perceived as being antagonistic. It just would. People feel antagonized simply by seeing it in the streets. Hell, I don't have any true hatred for Trump-fans, but even I look at them like "Dude, what are you doing?" when I see one in that hat (just as I would if I saw someone in this PJ/Biden shirt). So yeah, I think it would be viewed as antagonistic at a PJ show.
But to be fair, this one is actually a pretty cool design:

One, I honestly don’t care what the band’s politics are, just as I’m sure they don’t give a shit about mine. I mean, I know where they stand on most issues - collectively, anyway - based on their actions.Second, I’m pretty liberal socially, and all for financial responsibility. Not sure there’s a label for that?
