I'm not saying worrying about what republicans think. i'm saying worrying about what moderates and undecideds think.static111 said:
I think we need to stop worrying about what republicans think. The average Republican voter has to be ok with single party rule at this point. I think the case needs to be made for people that don’t pay attention as closely as we do on AMT that this is the beginning of an attempted dictatorship. I mean they are still hollering that Joe Biden is a Radical leftist socialist lol they have zero regard for truthfulness. Why shouldn’t anyone be calling all of this out for what it is, and loudly?HughFreakingDillon said:
i think part of the problem with doing that is there would be a massive backlash that trump himself started. they'd be considered the left version of fox news. anderson cooper has done some of that from what i've seen, however.static111 said:We’re frogs in warm water. I think this situation is much worse than we realize just because so much crazy shit has been normalized by the RNC and the Media. The media if it is a true friend of the people needs to stop treating him with the respect of his office. The time for that is over. Respect is earned. He has had his time and we need more than just the prime time talking heads to be calling out the BS and calling it out hard. Fascist, wanna be dictator, authoritarian, oligarch. All of these terms need to be heavily used.Your boos mean nothing to me, for I have seen what makes you cheer0

I was sure the ratings would've been higher last night because of that. Also MLB and hockey postponed games too. SAD!PJNB said:

In the latest TV ratings, the 2020 Republican National Convention’s grand finale did not appear to enjoy any major Trump bumpon Thursday night, at least according to preliminary numbers.ABC, CBS and NBC’s combined coverage of RNC Night 4 — which featured Rudy Giuliani, Ivanka Trump and then a 70-minute speech by President Donald Trump himself — delivered 5.43 million total viewers (through 11 pm), which is down a tick from Night 3 (5.65 mil) but on par with Night 2’s broadcast total (5.45 mil). Compared to broadcast-TV’s fast nationals for Night 4 of the Democratic National Convention (5.8 mil), the RNC’s own finale was off by six percent. The DNC Night 4 went on to report 24.6 million total viewers, with PBS, FOX News Channel, Fox Business Network, MSNBC, CNN, CNNe, Newsmax and Newsy all folded in; the RNC’s high thus far through Wednesday night is 19.4 million, for Night 2. Check back later for RNC Night 4’s cable-inclusive total! Elsewhere on Thursday, CBS’ Big Brother (4 mil/1.0) was steady week-to-week, leading the quiet night in both measures. www.myspace.com0

            I'm sitting this one out
I get to hear it all the damn time. The alt-right folks who seem to have taken a liking to my town over the summer play it at every rally (once or twice a week), sometimes with one of the jackholes taking over on lead vocals. It's godawful. Oh, and they are rallies rather than protests because they are just rallying to maintain the status quo. The latest is to maintain the status quo of police brutality on black bodies, or what they call blue lives matter. If they do the same thing this week, my idea is to take my towheaded (Aryan enough) kids out with me, hook up to the church's outdoor electrical outlet, and we blast N.W.A.'s "Fuck the Police" back at them with all we've got. Might need to borrow some PA equipment!static111 said:

The whole state also has a pretty damn dark past of racism. The town I live in was a sundown town and chased Bill Russell from buying a house here.mcgruff10 said:
