Sorry, undecided and infrequent voters aren't the same to me. But regardless, again, I don't see how this debate changed anything.
it likely didn't, and that's good news for biden, bad news for cheeto

  • Presidential elections typically have the highest turnout numbers and infrequent voters’ votes count the same as those who never miss an election. Some reports are claiming undecideds as high as 11%. Whether 2% or 12%, they have the potential to swing the election. Again, if you’re still undecided at this stage, where have you been for 4 years?

15 minutes into the debate - Trump is popping a lot more than Biden. I can see the general schmuck thinking Trump does better. His odd charm and populist lines works well when he keeps relatively calm. It's like Sean Connery VS George Lazenby.

I guess Trump will go off the rails soon though.

** The debate in a sane world **

Moderator: Trump says that you want "socialised healthcare". Your response?

Biden: ABSO-FUCKING-LUTELY. LOOK AT THE REST OF THE DEVELOPED WORLD. THEY ARE DOING IT RIGHT. WE ARE DOING IT FOR CAPITALIST GAIN. AND THAT IS WRONG. THAT IS MALARKY. AND BY THE WAY - FUCK FRACKING AND THE GREEN NEW DEAL GIVES ME A GOD DAMN HARD ON. I HOPE EVERY DAY THAT AOC ACCEPTS MY FRIEND REQUEST ON FACEBOOK! SHE IS SO COOL!

CNN: We asked our viewers - Who won the debate?

    Trump: 0,5%
    Biden: 99,5%

45 min in - Biden is picking up steam. But Trump still presents arguments in a surprisingly coherent way.

I have never said he doesn't lie.

You don't think general schmucks want to believe and hear a vaccine is coming soon?

You don't think a kid trapped in a well want to hear his friends looking down saying that help is coming soon?

Trump is loosing his cool. He is resting his belly on the podium. He is starting to talk about some laptop (from hell).

"Are you saying that the laptop is russia, russia, russia..?"

i did notice joe looking at his watch which seemed like forever. he should have known better than to do that. but it won't make a difference.
He should have but I also blame his campaign manager. If I am running his campaign there would be no watches worn during any TV appearance. Bush 41 was criticized loudly for also doing that in a debate.

Ive seen Biden look at his watch at some other debate too... I think...

    Yes. Sir.

This was CNN after the famous 2016 town hall debate 2 with Clinton, which was days after the grabbing p*ssy comment.

57-34 Clinton won per CNNs instant poll. Republicans will tell you to a man this was the debate that rallied republicans to support trump and win the White House and sweep congress.

I think this is a different SC. This can not be the same commenter who strongly supported Sanders. No real Bernie supporter on earth would call any trump argument “coherent.”

    "surprisingly coherent"

Don't take my words out of context, like a carefully edited Biden video on Trumps twitter feed.

Just watch the first 10 min of the debate.

I think it was a fairly "even" debate.  Both had their moments and did well.  They fed plenty of confirmation bias meat to those who support them.  People on either side are going to insist their guy "won"

I think Biden should have lobbed an insult over early and tactfully.  If he called him not smart or something along those lines, trump would have turned into an unhinged orangutan again which most people hate.

Trump wanted to show biden was a grifter.  This is a terrible play imo because its largely false and he lives in a glass house made of the cheapest glass.  He wanted to show that biden was there for 40 years or whatever and did nothing... ok I guess.  I dont think he really scored anything there, especially while claiming nobody ever did more for the black community including lincoln.

Maybe his assurances that covid was nearly gone and a vaccine is coming played well?

The oil thing?  Getting off oil by a goal of 2050 will turn the votes of Pennsylvania?
