I love five songs off Gore but was down at the time I was getting to know the album so I don't spin Gore as much as I normally would. Hasn't grabbed me so far-I do love the sound of the previous three albums actually. But as always the craftsmanship is meticulous. Nice to get into new Deftones in a better state and I'm sure there will be some amazing things on Ohms.

That’s my least go to album. It’s growing on me. Maybe I need a strong edible and my vinyl. Sounds like my date sat night. Hope the wife doesn’t mind.

Disclaimer: Deftones are my third favorite band of all time. I don’t think they have a not great album. Just Koi seems to need that attention I don’t usually have time for.

And I’m stoned right now and just realized knife party was playing while I typed this thread. God I love weed.

This new single is just bad ass, plain and simple. That start of the breakdown at 3:21 until the end of the song is killer, damn I'm excited for this new album... Video is good shit as well...

I’ve always loved this guy. His YouTube channel rules. This is so awesome. He nails it. Now just one day I’ll know how to paste it cool like the Ohms video above. Which rules too.

I'm ready for more!  There are a few songs over the years I haven't liked all that much, but overall I can't get enough Deftones.

Really liking this new single. I could not get in to Gore. First time since SNW, an album of theirs didn't hit me immediately. I have since come to really like SNW, but not so much on Gore yet. This single reminds me of a mix of their last 3 albums prior to Gore.

Gore took me a little time to get into.  "Acid Hologram" and "Geometric Headdress" still depend on the day, but I really love "Doomed User", "Hearts/Wires", and "Pittura Infamante."  The lyrics of "Phantom Bride" are some of Chino's best, too, IMO.

The self-titled took me a bit to like.  Looking back, I have no idea why.

Surprised by people's opinions on the last couple of records, I thought they were great.  Phantom Bride was awesome, love Jerry Cantrell's guitar.

Self Titled is the one in their catalogue I listen to the least. That one never clicked for me for some reason.

  • Hexagram into Needles and Pins!? Come on. Might helped that they opened an epic show that very way in Fresno a few years back and it was awesome times infinity.
    Peace,Love and Pearl Jam.
  • I saw them start with Minerva and Bloody Cape in Paris in 2003. Love Minerva and Hexagram but despite seeing them on that tour (actually went for A Perfect Circle) the self titled has never grabbed me as a whole.

  • I used to think the self-titled was disjointed, and I read that the band was at a low point then: didn't spend a lot of time together, recorded tracks separately.  But "Needles and Pins" and "Bloody Cape" are up there for me as favorite songs, lost my mind when they played the latter in Baltimore some years ago, and "When Girls Telephone Boys" is pretty fucking rad too.  I guess the last two songs and "Lucky You" don't do much for me.

I had been a big fan of Around the Fur, but didn't actually purchase any of their albums until self titled. Hearing Minerva made me go out and get that one. It was hard to get into the whole album at first, but I do love a lot of songs off that one; NAP and WGTB are highlights for sure. Battle-axe is another underrated song.
