  • Such a banker of a band. The quality is so consistent and so dependable without an ounce of sounding safe. Even the albums that you don't dig, you can really appreciate the craftsmanship they exhibit.

Genesis, Urantia, This Link is Dead and Radiant City are the standouts for me so far.

Radiant City into Swerve City live would be badass.
    It's a hopeless situation...

I think the only song I'm not crazy about is Error - it's still good but probably the weakest out of all of them, imo. Could change. Great album.

I did another full listen on the way to work this morning and at first I thought Error and Headless were going to sound weak because I didn't remember them well enough, but then I heard them and was like, nope still good. Also, Spell and Pompeji have grown on me. A real highlight in the middle of the album. And Ohms to end it is fantastic. Loving that song more and more.

Every time I listen to This Link is Dead I am waiting for the guitars to drop around the chorus like in When Girls Telephone Boys. The guitar parts are very close to each other, which is a good thing.

This Link is Dead is a straight banger. Straight from the late 90s-early 2000s. Same with Radiant City - those songs back to back are incredible. Very Around the Fur-ish.

  • Finally got to sit and listen to the album on headphones, I almost started cheering when "Ohms" started.  That's a great album closer, and I think it'd be a good show closer as well.  Really digging this album.

Going to bump this back to the top. Listened to this about a dozen times now and just a phenomenal album. Error is my new fave. Rock album of the year contender here.

The end of Error is my favourite bit of the album. Those high notes have 976-EVIL written all over them. That jagged riff off Radiant City is bananas too.

Woke up to buy the pre-order album, went to sleep, listened to "Knife Party" this morning...weird.  Might grow to like it, though.

Not loving the remixes. I don’t think I’d ever listen to this album all the way through.

Ah really??? I literally came in here to post how awesome I think they are. If one doesn't like electronic music, I can definitely see how it isn't your cup of tea. Really cool take on a classic hard rock/metal album, imo.

Found it at HEB here in Austin.  Had it at the brewery in SD a couple years ago but was pumped to see it here.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

Just picked up a VIP meet and greet ticket for their Chicago show in August...can't wait. This is a gentle persuasion for any other Chicago Deftones fans in here to get it so we can all meet up and hang out during the show.
