It wasn't even 1pm before the Ames sold out
Haha typical. Don't get me wrong, it was cool poster and I would have loved to have gotten one, but it's much easier to live with missing out on these given that the show never happened.

I got a regular Baltimore AP.  That makes up for my fat-fingering my payment information for St. Louis.

I think its not cool to not wait AT LEAST til you have the damn thing from the artist, who is also struggling and the one who appreciates that loss.

Artists should be charging more for these. You look at the market and $65-75 is a steal. You can bitch about flippers all you want, but the reality is that selling at those retail prices creates a huge opportunity.
Exactly right, the artists should make the prices high enough to deter flipping. I don't believe the band puts a ceiling on what they can charge.
There's a premium for PJ posters.  If they marked up pricing on PJ and none of the other bands they do posters for then all the PJ fans would be bitching.  Lose lose situation for them.

But Ian is already doing this.  All his Blink-182 & Pixies posters are $40.  Then PJ are higher, now up to $65.  That's over a 50% mark-up over his base offerings.  And guess what, no PJ fans are Bitching, we are saying, "Ian, my man, you priced these too low."  Instant sell out at $65 means they were priced too low, buddy.  You missed out on some profits.  Even the $20 adder for matching sets, went in less than 30 seconds.  Should have been priced higher.
There's no need to say goodbye

I'll happily wait for the 10c sale on these. Hopefully their price will be $35. and likely there should be many available, if you don't screw around and wait too long.

I hate the argument that they should raise the AP prices much more. It’s a balance. You are just feeding the rich collectors at a certain point and not giving the little guy a shot to get one at an affordable cost
SEs are for the little guy. That's what I buy.

Agreed, if you want a poster signed by the artist, be prepared to pay for it.

Did anyone see how Tool's poster artists handled the poster AP sales in the last year? They were printed in super limited runs, and the artists let ebay set the market for their APs. Who can blame them?

Alex Gray was getting $300+ for his APs and they still sold out in a heartbeat.

Prints signed by the band were reselling for upwards of $1K so artists added remarques to posters and sold them for $500 - $750 and the demand was still through the roof.

I applaud the artists getting all they can; I would rather see them get the money then some scrub doing nothing but cruising the internet.

I agree with the above, and applaud the creative artists getting all they can for their AP editions. They should all be doing EBay auctions. Whether the artist's signature and numbering is on a concert poster does not matter to me at all.
