This is starting to feel like 2016 all over again. The DNC pushed the candidate on us that has the most history of towing their party line, with absolutely no consideration to the amount of ammo that the other side has to throw at him. And now It’s looking like they’re picking a VP that also comes with immediate baggage and is an easy target. Unreal.

What some of you don’t seem to realize is that there are tons of people that sit at home and don’t know the first thing about any of this. They see an ad that brings up ties to Banghazi and they say to themselves “Hey I watched that Michael Bay movie a few years ago and Benghazi was bad!!!” That same person may hate Trump, but with all of the shit being slung at Biden/Rice that person will choose to sit out the election. There is zero passion behind this campaign just like Clinton in 2016. The only passion is that it isn’t Trump. That might be enough this time around after dealing with him for 4 years but I’m nervous.

You're the one bringing up dementia. And my posts of those screenshots are in response to Mickeyrat saying "TWITTER IS EVIL" as a way to show it's no more "evil" than any other outlet.

I said "They really should just lock him down and not let him say a word until the debates" because he does himself no favors with any of the interviews he does. I made no mention of "dementia." You're the one bringing up dementia. And my posts of those screenshots are in response to Mickeyrat saying "TWITTER IS EVIL" as a way to show it's no more "evil" than any other outlet.

Fair.. but I disagree with the premise. If no one can tell me how the his words were racist or even wrong, then why lock him up? You're not going to stop selective editing. I would argue it's impossible to speak in sentences that could NEVER be manipulated by another to seem offensive, particularly when speaking of sensitive racial issues.

Second, I think Micky's point was that if you watched the whole clip rather than the selected one from Twitter, you will see this is a little ado about even less. He said Twitter is evil...I don't necessarily agree. Twitter is a nightmare but it's the people using it and believing it that are the problem.

That the AA community can be considered more homogeneous than the Latino community. The AA community has been in this country for centuries and has developed the culture we have today. Music, film, literature, etc. are all heavily influenced by them. The Latino communities are comprised of immigrants from countries that have their own unique cultures very different from one another. Mexico is a different world than Cuba, as an example. That's the point he was making. Of course the AA community is not completely homogeneous, just like the White community isn't.

Same I’m still voting for the guy. It just surprises me that him speaking is his biggest weakness. The lengths people go to to pretend that he isn’t a terrible candidate that would likely lose to any contender that wasn’t Trump is amazing. I’m just waiting for him to announce a former Republican as a running mate and see how that gets justified.
