    Happy place, indeed!

The peach jalapeno relish I made was nearly perfect, the pickled garden peas always hit the spot!

Happy 4th everyone. All of your meals look amazing. I went out and grabbed a socially distant outdoor restaurant meal with a friend I haven’t seen since March. Had a great mezze platter and some wine. Forgot to take photos. Not a very patriotic meal, but delicious. I hear some fireworks going off somewhere outside 🇺🇸🇺🇸🎆🎆🎇

Wow. What a view. Your seafood Sunday looks amazing as well. I made a skirt steak fajita with sautéed peppers and onions, some romaine, salsa Fresca, and sour cream. Corn was oven roasted. But my view was the TV.

Tonight’s offering was my first stab at southern-fried chicken served with mashed potatoes, carrots in dill and chicken gravy.

Tbh, it could have gone better.  My oil was a little too hot.  It was tasty, but definitely could have been better.  Lesson learned for next time.  The recipe I used was awesome.  Will add more sriracha and maybe some ancho chipotle to the mix next time.
