"The Duke Arrives"/"Barricade" (the Duke's theme, basically) may be my favorite John Carpenter composition.

That's cool. Do they ever play Crash Course? That might be my favorite Metallica tune.

I never really got into the first three songs on the record.  I think they are meh.  After that, it's A+, starting with Light Years which I love.

When I first got the album (CD) a few years after it was released, I got hooked onto Light Years and Grievance.  I've come to appreciate Evacuation, Insignificance, Rival, Of the Girl and Slight of Hand recently.  I always enjoyed Breakerfall and Gods Dice opening the record, but it took me a while to love the rest of the track list.

I wish I was a sacrifice, but somehow still lived on.

It's really weird, but the whole record has been stuck in my head for over 2 weeks now.  First time I can say that about Binaural.

Of the Girl. Loud. Good stereo. It sounds like PJ are in the room with you.

I think Binaural is the pinnacle of recording fidelity for this band.

That's where I'm at(concerning the first 3 songs) and the rest of the Album is terrific.

    Side 2 : LH ss
Finally, sounds VERY good. Now to find a double RL to compare.

Didn't somebody showcase a Betty Davis record on one of these threads? I see that Light in the Attic is doing another reissue with some bonus material (I think). Might have to jump on that.

Neil and Petty are the best with their remasters.  They took care of the source and hired Bellman to do it right.

Gotta say, it’s one enjoyable listen. This review is a pretty good at detailing the repress:

No pops, no surface noise, good dynamics. In fact, I think I just typed myself into playing it again today! 😁
