I'm listening to my UHQR copy as I type. My second listen after wet cleaning. I must agree that this is the best sounding version of Kind of Blue, that I've heard. With that being said, I've contacted Analog Productions for a replacement. Side 1 is very noisy on tracks 1 and 3, even after cleaning. Side 2 is somewhat better, but for a $100 record it should be pristine. The packaging is gorgeous, albeit a little overkill. But the sound will blow you away! If feels like you in the room as they're recording. Almost a 3d like sound quality. Every instrument is crystal clear and separate. Simply beautiful!!!

so have this mono, another in stereo(legacy 2010) at present.
My town has big collections come up often at my local spots. Am on the lookout for an early pressing. that super old shit is always in vg++ or nm conditon.
my old man named me after this dude(dad was a drummer) and it wasnt til recently that I have begun to listen to him. This title is so delicate. just gorgeous...
wet cleaning.... your method?
This is my homemade record cleaning station. I've been using it for over 8 years. My solution is isopropyl alcohol and distilled water mix. Distilled water rinse and vacuum up. Pretty simple, affordable and works like a charm p.s. the spray bottles were well cleaned before using.

Yep! The platter and spindle are from an old turntable I had, with an old platter mat on top. Mofi brushes, pvc pipe capped and covered with velvet. I cut a slit in the velvet covered pipe the width of a record. The little shop vac works wonders and removes all liquids.

Yep, picked it up this week on vacation to try an upgrade a VG copy I already had. It is perfect except for an edge warp that I didn't see in store, but I am going to keep it and try and get a Vinyl Flat to see if that will remedy the warp. It plays through fine, but that 1st track is taking the stylus for a ride. I would be afraid to play it on my good set up.
straight to 'candy man'. What a jam session. I don't think i ever heard this song. A dusty one i picked up a while ago. Thinking of thinning my collection, so spinning a few on the fence. This is a keeper. I think i just need to get more creative about my storage.
Just noticed my zep. In through the out door, has no side 1 sticker. Just 2 side twos. Any feedback on that? I'm pretty sure it doesn't make it extra valuable or anything. Kinda cool though. I wonder how many they messed up. I never spin this one. May be time to dust it off. In the evvvvenninggg. Good stuff. Killer skips variant remix too!
I always enjoy zep cautiously knowing that some of there stuff is borrowed from og hard working blues musicians. It's only rock and roll anyway and i hope they paid them for it.
