Tough to say. It depends on what kind of Biden supporters they are exposed to. Plus their candidate isn’t exactly doing much as of now to unite.mickeyrat said:
you're absolutely right. And I think Bidens statements indicate his need , our collective need, for them to be on board with backing him. Even if its a no to fuckstick vote. Can they swallow that pill?nicknyr15 said:
Good point again. But at face value, he’s running as Dem. His votes are important to beat Trump. And to mock or deter his followers is counterproductive. Just my opinion.mickeyrat said:
please lets not forget Bernie isnt a Democrat. So he's potentially dividing a party he has never been a member of, only ran for president as.....nicknyr15 said:

To your point, if a Bernie supporter is going to determine how they vote based on what a poster on a band’s message board says, or from a twitter feed or faceturd threads and posts, then there really is no hope. Bernie should now be trying to convince his followers as hard as possible to do the right thing and get behind Biden and get Team Trump Treason out of the White House. And until that happens or until Bernie supporters pull the lever for Sleepy Woke Joe, they’re nothing more than DINOs and illustrate that they really don’t care about the ideals they claim to be champions of, scorn, arrogance and sexual harassment notwithstanding in their way of politicking.Post edited by Kat on09/15/1998 & 09/16/1998, Mansfield, MA; 08/29/00 08/30/00, Mansfield, MA; 07/02/03, 07/03/03, Mansfield, MA; 09/28/04, 09/29/04, Boston, MA; 09/22/05, Halifax, NS; 05/24/06, 05/25/06, Boston, MA; 07/22/06, 07/23/06, Gorge, WA; 06/27/2008, Hartford; 06/28/08, 06/30/08, Mansfield; 08/18/2009, O2, London, UK; 10/30/09, 10/31/09, Philadelphia, PA; 05/15/10, Hartford, CT; 05/17/10, Boston, MA; 05/20/10, 05/21/10, NY, NY; 06/22/10, Dublin, IRE; 06/23/10, Northern Ireland; 09/03/11, 09/04/11, Alpine Valley, WI; 09/11/11, 09/12/11, Toronto, Ont; 09/14/11, Ottawa, Ont; 09/15/11, Hamilton, Ont; 07/02/2012, Prague, Czech Republic; 07/04/2012 & 07/05/2012, Berlin, Germany; 07/07/2012, Stockholm, Sweden; 09/30/2012, Missoula, MT; 07/16/2013, London, Ont; 07/19/2013, Chicago, IL; 10/15/2013 & 10/16/2013, Worcester, MA; 10/21/2013 & 10/22/2013, Philadelphia, PA; 10/25/2013, Hartford, CT; 11/29/2013, Portland, OR; 11/30/2013, Spokane, WA; 12/04/2013, Vancouver, BC; 12/06/2013, Seattle, WA; 10/03/2014, St. Louis. If Democrats and large parts of the mainstream press are not ignoring Reade’s accusation because it is politically inconvenient, why are they ignoring it? One quite obvious factor is coronavirus: the global pandemic has bumped all other news to the back pages for the moment, and things that would be incredibly significant in ordinary times are now being set aside. But Reade’s accusation is not even on the back pages. A major party presidential candidate being accused of having committed a heinous sex crime against an employee is a major news story. If it’s true, Joe Biden should not be the Democratic nominee. If it’s true, it is going to have significant ramifications for the November election—Donald Trump is politically savvy enough not to bring it up now while Democrats could still replace Biden, but you bet he will in the general election. And the November election is going to affect the future of our democracy, so this story is important no matter what way you look at it.

1) Shaming fellow voters didn't work in 2016...
2) Thinking Progressives just follow Bernie blindly is shallow thinking... (see #1 again)
3) It's the candidates job to convince voters in order to win a particular sector of the electorate... (see #1 again)
4) A "Corporate Democrat" doesn't mean you're a supporter of the Democratic Party that works for a Corporation... I'd use rollings eyes on this one, but it would be rude... (see #1 again)

Did I say “progressives follow Bernie blindly?” No, I said any Bernie supporter that determine how they vote based on this website or any other social media post is an indicator of how fucked we are. And, if you can’t see the choice before you and the ramifications of that choice, ie the bigger picture, then you’re (you in the general sense) are a DINO and part of the problem.myoung321 said:

Interesting that you use the term “progressive” and not democrat. Why is that? Maybe it’s time you Bernie supporters started your own damn political party and stop trying to hijack the dems and complain when it fails? Infuckingsufferable.

Edit - and isn't Sanders and company shaming fellow Democrats by employing that term?I am actually starting to get a little frustrated with Biden. I know he is sending out videos but I hardly see them getting coverage. I understand he will never be able to compete with the orange master at using the bully pulpit but democrats better start to figure out quick how to get some attention at what their ideas are to get out of this mess.
My suggestion would be for Biden and some of the governors to hold a joint press conference a few times each week and model it after how Cuomo does his pressers. Schedule them for 90 minutes after Trumps pressers are scheduled to start and title the Democratic Solutions to the covid crisis.
They should present a bullet point plan, similar to how Cuomo presents facts and figures. Make the argument that the decisions to reopen should be based on scientific analysis of safety and should be gradual, not some orange idiot pontificating and rambling about his feelings for two hours.
It’s too quiet on the Democratic side. It’s time for the governors and Biden to band together and be heard. Even Pelosi.0 -

To your point, if a Berniebrosis is going to determine how they vote based on what a poster on a band’s message board says, or from a twitter feed or faceturd threads and posts, then there really is no hope. Bernie should now be trying to convince his followers as hard as possible to do the right thing and get behind Biden and get Team Trump Treason out of the White House. And until that happens or until Berniebrosises pull the lever for Sleepy Woke Joe, they’re nothing more than DINOs and illustrate that they really don’t care about the ideals they claim to be champions of, scorn, arrogance and sexual harassment notwithstanding in their way of politicking.
Even Pelosi.
Good points, good ideas!

It didn't work in 2016 and it won't work in 2020.

Shame of who? Bernie supporters who’s candidate lost? Or the Deplorables? How should we refer to Team Trump Treason supporters? I’m still with Hillary. Seems you never were? I have no problem “owning it.”
You can’t even begin to “work to make it better for all,” if you can’t rally around and behind the party that you claim as your own, or more likely have decided to hijack because it’s easier than starting your own pure as the driven snow party.
Back to facts, after the past three and a half years and seeing how Team Trump Treason and his administration have conducted themselves, that anyone would pull the lever for him or need convincing from the opposition candidate before voting is a cop out and to claim ignorance of the facts. That’s partisanship for you.
You can’t see the forest for the weeds. Good luck with that.
