Well I have a have a binary variable decision tree model that I run all political calculations through. It runs through a series of sub nodes and and anything that gets kicked during the analysis should automatically be illegal. I’m still running a test and control assessment but it appears I will land somewhere around 98% of all protests should be illegal and result in executions. All extremists should be shot is my basic rule in life.ecdanc said:
So, which protests are ok and which aren't?mrussel1 said:
Definitely. I think the First Amendment should be erased from the books and the 2A move up a slot and occupy both places. This is because I’m a Jacobin at heart. I’m impressed how you extracted that out of my previous post.ecdanc said:
Are you just generally against protests, then?mrussel1 said:
Oh good, so this will be just as useless. I guess Pete can expect 97% of the LGBT, etc vote too.ecdanc said:
 Yes, I do.mrussel1 said:
Remember all of the protests against Obama by the Afican-American community because they said he was too upper middle class, not black enough? Remember how they complained that he represented all Democrats not just half Kenyan ones? Remember when a very small sub section of the population felt that he wasn't doing enough for their particular micro-demographic?Lerxst1992 said:rgambs said:The anti-Pete thing really reminds me of Russian trolls.
We are so divided we are just ready to give Trump the White House without a fight. These posts by SC and ecd are exactly why democrats repeatedly shoot themselves in the foot.
if we don’t have an inspirational voice like Obama or Clinton to win the center we eat each other alive and lose.

Distrust against who? Can you provide some specific examples? I’ve seen you type Pete’s Pals but as of now I think it’s a Bernie counterattack, not a real swarm of people who act like Bernies.. My general, assumption now is Pete’s supporters are moderate democrats with jobs and kids, having better things to do than harass people online.Spiritual_Chaos said:

And that really shouldn't be considered a defence of Bloomberg and more of a statement of how bad Trump is.
I don't like Bloomberg, would be my last choice in the current field, but if I could would hit the streets in support of him vs. Trump. If I could.0

Nothing convinces a person of the righteousness of your cause like blocking I-95 during rush hour, causing them to be late to pick up their child. If they were on the fence before, you get a real advocate by doing that.ecdanc said:

Hardly the same. To compare the civil rights fight to any protests today is absurd. Who is today’s Bull Conner?ecdanc said:

Ill retract a piece... the BLM protest is in the same ballpark as civil rights but certainly fractionally. Either way, the point of a protest should be, at the end of the day, effectuate change. And that change needs to convince the people that are ambivalent. There are more effective ways than blocking interstates, which effectively removes support.0

I think this is a fair comment. In theory protest for change sounds great, until it effects your vacation, your commute, etc.ecdanc said:
