Why not? They've played SNL more than once already.
That has nothing to do with me not imagining it happening this time.....

For what it's worth, I watch SNL most weeks and almost never recognize any of the acts. Do they ever have "legacy" acts (I don't mean this as an insult) on anymore? I guess they had U2 on about two years ago so there's a chance they could squeeze it in although I pretty sure they already have a gig on the 28th.

Nor does that response answer my question.

Didn't know you really wanted an answer.. ...SNL not a great showcase anymore, used to be prestigious...

I rarely watch anymore so I'm the wrong person to ask. Last I knew SNL had a variety of musical acts on but maybe that has changed.

SNL has definitely shifted their music to mostly pop/hip hop. I don’t think they’ve had a rock act on since Gary Clark Jr last spring.

Paul Simon and the Foo Fighters played recently, too.

You didn't know I wanted an answer? This is kind of a weird exchange.

Anyway...this band seems to fall back on comfortable media that they know. Letterman many times, SNL a few times...I believe The Tonight Show more than once as well. Maybe they'll play SNL this year and maybe they won't, but I can totally envision it happening.

I still wonder who started the SNL rumor? I can't even imagine that happening.
Pearl Jam started following SNL on social media recently.  That's why there are rumors.

This has been the trend with their shows the last 5 years or more. They will have the occasional back to back, but mostly one or 2 nights in between shows.

If the list above is accurate the 4 show Canada run has four off days in the three slots in between the shows.

and the two show East coast run (3/26 to 4/1) is over 7 days  ( not including a potential 2 song appearance on SNL)

This does not seem to have a good return on investment, having the crew and transport on duty for so many days with so few shows. My math isn’t the best but that’s 6 shows in 15 days (3/18 thru 4/1)?

Still hoping for some MN magic in the mix. Hope everyone enjoys their shows wherever they may be.

  • I hope they do Jimmy Kimmel. I usually get in the music acts for the show. Otherwise, maybe they could play The Fonda again? I’ll be happy with anything in LA though.

Yeah thats brutal standing in line every Saturday.  The only time it would have paid off is last week for Eddie Murphy.  First time i laughed during that show in years.
Yeah, no kidding. That episode was a scream!

Ha ha ha ha ha I suppose it could be taken both ways. I was actually referring to the regulars at SNL who line up every Saturday and are basically the only ones who get in for standby.

Regarding Pearl Jam playing in Los Angeles on Easter...
I've seen Neil Young in NYC on Easter and Wilco in Providence, RI on Easter.  So it's not unknown for rock bands to play on Easter.

    Nope!

Uber is the way to go in Quebec City I think. If you are not able to get a private escort that is. Leaving the show might be a mess though I am sure we can get you there if need be. Our hotel is only 2km's from the venue though.

I guess we'll all know soon enough.

I'm really hoping they'll be in TO like it's been rumored on 3-18 (or just anytime that week) as we're taking our son to visit U of Toronto that week.

There may be a show or 2 we haven't picked up on yet, but I think we have the majority of this figured out.

I’m not sure what they are teaching the kids way out in Jersey these days but the google clearly has the Huge Barclays Center outside the confines of NYC

Seriously “The City” represents only the island of Manhattan and everything else is “out in the boroughs “ and goes by its name, Except Bronx which gets “The” prefix.

and every other city in the country are towns.

Boston, Chicago, LA you ask? Nice towns
