    I will say this. Quality of the Thursday night games has been very good most weeks this season. (In terms of competitiveness)
    That has not been the case in the past.

    Just checked...last year for 14 Thursday night games not counting the season opener, had 5 decided by one score or less and 9 decide by over 7 points (including scores like 34-13, 45-10, 42-23, 34-3, 52-21and 30-9)

    Final Thurs game of the year was the Chargers 29-28 win in KC on the 2 point conversion late, so your brain is probably just remembering the last thing it saw. ;)

    I don’t even care about close scores. They just did a horrible job of placing prime time caliber matchups on Thursday. 

    Haven’t paid that much attention, but I wonder how the TNF matchups line up with projected results.

    I love Thursday night football.  It stretches out the NFL week where it feels like no down-time.  It is another nationally televised game not lost in the 1PM, 4PM sunday slog.  

    In the next CBA, I hope they can work on some sort of scheduling that marries bye weeks with Thursday games though to keep it safe and players happy

    Reminds me of hockey when every fan bitches when a ref calls a player for hooking/tripping as well as the other player for diving.  They claim it cant be both.  It certainly can.  There can be a hook, but a player can embellish at the same time.  Every time it happens though, you see a slew of people rehashing the same couple phrases.


    But yeah.  Thursday gives just enough time to recover from Monday and get your fantasy team and gambling interests ready.  Then you usually have a compelling college football game Friday night, Saturday college football, NFL all day Sunday, and Monday night.  Take a breather Tuesday to look at power rankings.  If you are a crackhead, you can even watch MACtion on Tuesday and Wednesday nights.

    Putting product in my face all the time is a big part of why I’ve cooled on the NFL. I’m not gonna get hyped for a Browns Dolphins showdown. Liked it better when they kicked in after Thanksgiving.

    I agree. I'd also rather see opening night on Saturday rather than Thursday.

    here is a novel idea. watch the games you are interested in and ignore those that you are not. it's not really complicated.  if a Thursday night game sucks i don't watch. if it's interesting ill watch. same with Sunday's and Monday's. my eagles don't play this week so i have no expectation of how much actual NFL I will watch this week.  Personally I think every game on Sunday should be on regular TV and the times should be staggered.  Start at 10:00 am in the East and have different games start on the hour every hour and all on TV.

    All Thursday games are bad for players, even the post Thanksgiving ones.  They should be stopped.

    10 and 14 point type games can be good ones. The match ups going in looked good too. Pats/Colts with Luck still there was a game people didn't roll their eyes over. I just remember the Jags/Titans types of games being more prevalent before last year.

    Agreed about too much being a bad thing.

    I liked when they didn't have any Thursday games (other than Thanksgiving) but just had Saturday games in December, after college was mostly done.
