I made beef rendang for the first time last night. It took like 3 hours but worth it. I'll add fewer chilis next time, I can still feel my insides burning the next day. I have always bought the paste in a jar but I've always wanted to do it all myself and finally did it. Turned out great.

Looks like it would be tender. What sort of beef cut did that start out as?I took some lasagna blocks out of the freezer from when I made it about a month ago. In the oven for about 90 minutes and damn if it wasn't really good, even re-heated. That stuff is gold. Two pieces and I feel like I could give birth -- the clear side effect of eating a good lasagna. The love he receives is the love that is saved0

It's a stage name. His real name is Ariyan. Wonder why he changed it, especially looking the way he does (i.e., like a trailer bat)....I SAW PEARL JAM0 -

I know him from his YouTube cooking/eating stuff, not his music.Agree on the name change. Especially for a dude that appears to roll with lots of black dudes and raps. The love he receives is the love that is saved0 -

I should be repulsed by watching that guy -- so stoned out of his head, can barely even sit up on his throne, dirty shirt....but he is awesome. I laugh at pretty much half of what he says...and he has some cooking chops.Matty is similarly insane, like that crazy Canadian. The love he receives is the love that is saved0

I'll have to watch.
I don't know who anyone famous is anymore.
I get news alerts about celebrity stuff, and I rarely recognize any names.
I guess when my kids get a little older I'll know some of this stuff.I SAW PEARL JAM0 -

Also an Action Bronson fan. Dude is hilarious and definitely knows what he's talking about. Has some solid connections too in the food world.
Not as high on Matty. He grosses me out. .His finger nails are always disgusting when he's cooking and I can't unsee it now.0 -
