What comes first: impeachment starts or an actual Pearl Jam show?
I hope the impeachment.  Then Pearl Jam can write Whipping Part 2 and include it on the next album followed by a big tour.

Don’t forget boys and girls, Flynn is STILL cooperating with the Feds. Oh how the wheels of justice turn slowly but something tells me the timing will be impeccable.

His choice for a new lawyer, though, does not inspire confidence. I think he's looking for a pardon.

I believe his sentencing has been delayed because of continued cooperation. My guess is is that Flynn is cooperating regarding Roger Dodger Stoned and Wikileaks.

Congressional dems continue to hear witnesses and be stonewalled as the EDVA, SDNY and DC AG’s continue investigating 12-18 avenues of wrong spun off of the Team Mueller Report. What’s delusional is thinking it’s all nothing burgers from the tree of poisonous fruit. The wheels of justice turn slowly as well they should. I look forward to the “full exoneration.”

Yeah but have you seen who his new lawyer is? She's some super duper Trump supporter and vocal critic of Mueller. It's a little perplexing.

I think people get desensitized to high drama news, and when there is no high drama news, that must mean nothing is happening.

Yeah, not a chance in hell. The only option other than impeachment is if he is rendered incapable. Like if he has a stroke or goes so bananas that he's utterly incoherent.... I mean, even more incoherent.

75 dems and 1 repub now on record for impeachment proceedings. The Team Mueller Report is a best seller, people are reading it and the dems continue to do their thing. There are also ongoing investigations and criminal trials yet to come. If Team Trump Treason is "fully exonerated," why the stonewalling? Why hasn't the intelligence or redactions been made available? Team Trump Treason can make all of this go away by de-classifying and unredacting. Its going to be a slog but if the dems and repubs care about the Constitution and the rule of law, the truth will come out. Particularly, if,

    “There was no collusion.”

    “I don’t know any Russians.”

    “I have nothing to hide.”

“I’ll sit down and talk to anyone.”

“We do everything by the book.”

“Only the guilty plea the fifth.”

    “Very legal, very cool.”

    “Fully exonerated.”

    “Essentially no obstruction.”

Follow the damn money, from Russia with love and a PTape, all the way to impeachment.

Most likely. Of course, it won't succeed in getting him out of office.

I don't think it will. That's why, despite commenting in this thread, I haven't voted in your poll because you didn't give an option for impeachment not happening.

But maybe it will. And if it does, it'll be another win for Trump when he isn't convicted in the Senate trial. The majority of the electorate will look at it as a failed attempt to take Trump down...as many view the Muller Report. And I know, I know, it's wasn't Mueller's job to "take Trump down" because of that insane policy to not indict a sitting president. But perception is important during an election. OBVIOUSLY, because Trump was perceived by half the country to be good businessman and leader in 2016 when he's neither. And the current perception in many places is that the Dems are trying every bureaucratic means they can come up with to get rid of Trump because they didn't beat him in 2016.

I guess impeachment would be good political theater though. I just don't think the desired outcome would come of it.

So does anyone think impeachment or resignation are still possible?
    Impeachment's definitely happening.

Every day they're getting closer and closer to beginning impeachment proceedings/inquiries. At this point everyone knows he will not be convicted in the senate unless the political environment changes drastically.

I think people have a tendency to think nothing is happening just because there are no big breaking news stories on tv. But it seems like the dems are slowly and methodically building their case and working the courts. The Hope Hicks fiasco played right into their hands. Wish it was an open hearing though.

When the White House stonewalls literally everything, it's impossible for this to happen overnight. But it's happening.

This is as good an explanation as any for the “why.” Personally, I want the process to play out and put the repubs on record for not upholding the rule of law and protecting the Constitution and checks and balances.

Here's a question for ya: Would your rather Trump be impeached, acquitted in the Senate, and then all those Republican Senators are
"on record for not upholding the rule of law and protecting the Constitution", and then let the chips fall where they may in the 2020 election? Or, would you rather no impeachment, and Trump  loses the 2020 election?

So in scenario 1, you get you wish for impeachment, but no guarantee that Trump loses the election. Scenario 2 is no impeachment, but a definite loss in 2020 for Trump.

Seeing how I can’t have both, impeachment. Not impeaching him does far more damage, long term, than Team Trump Treason being re-elected. And the two are not mutually exclusive. Impeach and defend your vote on the campaign trail. It’s justified.

I’m wanting scenario 1. Scenario 2 shows playing not to lose and an assumption impeachment somehow gives trump a bump.

I have to give your credit for being so steadfast in your convictions. While I personally disagree and would choose scenario 2, I respect your unwavering desire for the rule of law to be upheld. I was wondering "Hmm, this guy is constantly talking about Trump's illegal activities and wants to see him impeached, but would he be saying that if the president was a liberal like he is?" And I think you showed here that you would.

And actually, here's what I would have responded with if you chose scenario 2:

"Oh but I thought you were a man of law like your boy Mueller. Nope. Just another partisan liberal that hates Trump."

So obviously that's not the case.

Here’s the thing, if it were a witch hunt and there was no “there, there,” I wouldn’t be calling for impeachment or for the rule of law to be upheld but Team Trump Treason’s lifetime achievement has been to violate the law and if caught, deny, intimidate, bluster, settle, and non-disclose. It’s worked for him and his ilk. The Oval Office, the presidency and the Constitution demand respect and protection, from repubs and dems alike. Team Trump Treason gets away with the abuse of power, obstruction and conspiracy, you fear the next POTUS, regardless of party and what their agenda might be. Read the Team Mueller Report, Team Trump Treason is as guilty as the day is long but I’ll give him a trial and let the chips fall where they may. Would love to see which repub senators will defend him on the senate floor for the record and all eternity.

The part I bolded highlights what I dislike most about Trump. He has ruined so many lives by ripping people off (contractors mostly) and then tying them up in court when they try to get justice. To her credit, Hillary had a lot of YouTube ads highlighting the stories of people that have had their lives ruined by Trump, and really it was those videos that led me to never be able to vote for him.

I hear ya about not wanting to set a precedent where the President can get away with anything he wants. I guess I'm just in the same camp as Pelosi in that I feel that an impeachment without an conviction would be helpful to him in the 2020 election. And I assume you and others that are calling for impeachment figure that if the public hears testimony and sees evidence in an impeachment trial, even if he wasn't convicted, it'd be damning enough to hurt him in the election. That might be true. But it might not. Happy I'm not in Pelsoi's shoes for this.

Exactly. The reverse scenario is something republicans are saying is just fine. Just take the irrefutable basic facts: Elizabeth Warren next week says she wants a positive relationship with adversarial country X. She publicly states a policy to help them (trump’s sanction removal).  Warren’s staff proceeds to have all kinds of contacts with country X and they all lie about it. Warren publicly requests country X break the law to help her win. Country X violates the law. FBI informs Warren that country X broke the law and is trying to infiltrate her campaign. She says nothing at the time and reports nothing. Warren wins. Warren praises leader of country X and doesn’t have her communications with them documented. Warren is then investigated and impedes the investigation, all the while lying and undermining it publicly.

Not going through impeachment says this is all just fine for our future.

    7/17= Mueller Day. Let’s go!
    Muller being subpoenaed ha interesting...
    9AM in open testimony.

House Intelligence and House Judiciary, back to back.

Then members of Mueller's team, but not Mueller, in closed testimony.

Mueller is coming. Thank freakin' god.

Perhaps he can do a dramatic reading like 'The Investigation' -
