Both.  I don't personally believe that criticizing AIPAC is anti-Semitic, but she needs to be much smarter than that, considering historical tropes and the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.  There is no doubt there are Muslims in this world who are anti-Semitic.  I have no idea if she is or isn't, but she needs to be smarter considering the times in which we live.  The fact that her very party colleagues were some of the first to condemn is evidence of her need to be smarter.

Bingo. It is getting tiring watching these naive and inexperienced social media warriors who were recently elected somehow become infallible to some. They need to smarten up, learn a few things, get some experience, build some knowledge, learn to play well with others and then go kick some ass. Kicking one's own ass, as they have done a bit due to their ill-advised messaging, isn't the same as kicking ass. I seem to recall the US electing a naive and inexperienced social media warrior as President in 2016. I haven't enjoyed that much, and this is just the far left version of our 2016 experience with the far right. We have a bunch of dopes who tweet suddenly thinking they're in charge. Crazy times.

She said she was criticizing money influencing foreign policy, which is a fair criticism.  But she could have done that with a host of other countries, starting with Saudi Arabia, rather than starting with AIPAC which was bound to create this issue.  Use your damn head.  Known your vulnerabilities and steer clear of them.  Duh.

AOC needs to check herself and her motivations. She needs to get the big picture. She needs to play the smart game. Criticizing Biden right now is not good optics and doesn't help the Party win in 2020. The Green New Deal is a non-starter, but getting Trump re-elected is a very real possibility if she keeps it up. While Biden might not be her ideal in terms of fighting climate change, helping Trump get re-elected would be even worse for her (and for all of us). It's great and all that she's an idealist, full of passion and dreams. But she better get a dose of reality real soon.

When asked if Ocasio-Cortez wanted to comment on Biden's remarks, a spokesperson for her congressional office said, "Nah."

    True pros.

More amazing? Here I didn't even think she was at all amazing. She has progressive ideals. She has one bill that she has submitted, which has zero Republican support, and only social justice warrior support on the Democratic side. While agreeing on the cost of someone like Trump in office, she has effectively taken Bernie's ex-role of splintering the DNC into pro- and anti- capitalist cohorts, at a time when people aren't even sure whether a unified DNC cohort would defeat Trump.

I find her an embarrassing example of typical young people with all the ideals and enthusiasm but none of the pragmatism required to get us there. In other words, I feel she should wake the fuck up: If you're in office, it's not about why something should be done, it's about how it could be done. That means recognizing the push/pull factors at play and not trying to will away reality.

Edit: I always feel like a young person hence calling her one even though we're the same age. I guess almost 30 ain't so young anymore!

there are plenty of democrats with a spine. she is just the Tasmanian devil, spinning around, grunting and screaming, with little to no effect so far. she's eager and full of energy and has a decent handle on the issues, but she's not going about it the right way.

And if you think the democrats have been going about it the "right way" you haven't been paying attention for the past 20 plus years.

she's idealistic, but also quite pompous. she's outraged over pretty much everything she comes across. people will become numb to it over time.
