I think he's a creep...but there's nothing criminal about that. And it certainly shouldn't be disqualifying to be the president, especially with Trump in office and Clinton formerly in office.

Well, I’m voting for the lesser of two creeps if it comes down to that. We have so many candidates that aren’t creeps. No Creeps 2020!

    Definitely a gray area:

    https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/former-president-becomes-vice-president/

The Founding Fathers placed no limits in the U.S. Constitution regarding how many times any one person could be elected (or otherwise serve) as President of the United States. However, in 1947 (after Franklin D. Roosevelt had broken with tradition and the Democrats won five consecutive presidential elections), Congress passed the 22nd amendment, ratified by the requisite number of states in 1951, which created a two-term limit for future Presidents. That amendment (along with earlier constitutional restrictions) would seem to disqualify Barack Obama from ever again attaining the office of President or Vice President of the United States, as he was elected to, and served, two full terms in that office between 2009 and 2017.

However, the wording of the 22nd Amendment doesn’t literally say that no one can be President for more than two terms; only that no one can be elected President more than twice.

Presumably this still leaves open the loophole (intended or not) that one who had already been elected twice could still serve as President again by attaining that office through other means — particularly, by being elected or appointed Vice-President (and thus becoming next in the line of presidential succession) when the sitting President dies, becomes incapacitated, or resigns.

I know this is an old comment, but was an interesting view and made me think about it. Sorry if it was already answered, but I didnt see this discussed.
The requirements for VP are that you must be eligible for president. I think it would be an easy argument that a president who served 2 terms would not meet those requirements since they are not eligible to run for president, therefore are not eligible for VP either.

I listened to about half hour of the speech and found it rather refreshing considering what we have had to listen to the last 2 plus yrs from Trump. Anyway, I’ve had time to think about the Biden touchy-feely stuff for a few days and I don’t think he’s a sex predator or pervert, so if people want to use that against him, whatever.
I’m confused when this creepy “touchy-feely” (which is the nice term for inappropriate touching) matters and when it’s not big deal.

if these were videos of a different person doing this, one that people didn’t want to be president, I think I they would have a different opinion.
I think "touchy-feely" can both matter and also not be sexual abuse. When I think it matters, is when someone feels that it affected them. Period. The fact that Biden made someone (or multiple people) feel uncomfortable, means that apologizing for the actions was the appropriate thing to do. This shouldn't be ignored or rationalized, it should just be owned, addressed, and moved on from. Which it was. Had Biden had a history of anything more than multiple people saying he's "too touchy", such as sexual abuse allegations, the benefit of the doubt would be lost.

This is my take as well. But it would be nice if he would apologize for his behavior.

Biden’s “apology” was empty and didn’t actually address what he needed to apologize for. But I understand your point.

I'm not a fan of his non apology either.  But it was certainly intentional.  To me it's too politically contrived.
It still doesn't make him a creep,  it doesn't disqualify him.
For every person that was "uncomfortable", there are probably 100 who appreciated it,  from both sexes.  Of course we won't see those stories.

That's totally fair, the quality of the apology (and the acknowledgment of the issue at hand) absolutely matters.

To be clear, I never called you idiotic or pathetic. I don't do that. I only called your comments those things, and yes, there is a big difference between the two, at least when it comes from me.

A joke yes. But to be clear I don’t care if he’s gay. In fact it would be a welcomed voice in politics as he gets a bigger and bigger stage.
