Fortunately, I think we'll be getting our Expos wish in the 3-5 years.
Montreal left because they couldn't get a stadium built.  Highly doubt they will now.  Should be Tampa if anyone goes up there. I don't see it though.
Right. What's funny is I read they'll most likely get a new ballpark, but at least in the beginning they would still be playing in the dump that they originally left.

I don't think anyone's going from one city to another, they're going to expand. I don't think they should but that seems to be their intent.

I would think Portland or Vancouver would make sense as the other team.

That would be pretty funny and horrible.

This is a good point.  I do wish it would be the Rays, would be a hell of an AL East, but  yeah.

If Mike Trout had a pitcher batting behind him he would be intentionally walked 600 times a year, literally.

I think they should bat Franco 7th and Cesar 8th. I understand the logic that the hope is that Cesar gets on base for Franco to drive him in...but Cesar has to get on base first.

Well, it's only been four games. I'll take Cesar's career on-base over Franco's. This lineup is better when Maikel Franco is in the 8 hole.

Play the hot hand for the moment and move him back when he comes back to earth.  Put the guy with the hottest bat in the spot to do the most damage, behind Hoskins for the moment, making pitchers throw to him with some protection.  When he cools off, bump him back down. Could be two days, could be two weeks..  Thumpers are in the spots they will largely be in all year.  Play the hot hand with others.

Edit: At the same time, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

If there's anything this lineup needs is more lefties, so I feel like you need to keep Herrera in the 6th spot no worse than 7th. Essentially we're talking about Franco hitting 6th or 8th and I'm cool with parking him down there in the ol' 8 hole.

Also, while we're talking about him. SELL.

And they're off to another lead. I'm gonna guess no one's ever gone 162-0 so I can't believe this will be the first time it ever happens.

I was just talking to a Yankees fan at work about how good the Phillies look and he's like "Yeah but there's still 160 games to go." I was like "158."

Regarding Franco, who knows what Waldman knows, but she basically said she thinks he can have a huge year because he has a lot of weight off his shoulders not being the guy anymore.  He can just be there.  Again, Suzyn Waldman...

But yeah, lotta baseball to be played.  You guys look legit. It's a looooong season.  Same reason I'm not getting too down so far.

Yeah there will be peaks and valleys like every season. I really like the clubhouse vibe though and that's a big thing if a team begins to struggle during the dog-days. If you didn't know any better and tuned into a game, you'd think Harper, Segura, Realmuto, and McCutchen have been there for years.

No doubt.  It's the chicken or the egg though. Does winning breed chemistry or does chemistry breed winning?  I think the former.  Never saw a good team have a bad time.

Tough loss for sure. I watched the comeback to make it 8-6 on my computer at work. Then on my ride home, I get a notification from the MLB app saying the Nats won 9-8.

    161-1?
