Its hard to fault people for supporting him. He promised he'd do politics differently. Turns out the new boss is way worse than the old boss.DarthMaeglin said:
Unfortunately for me, I can't get too angry over this, as these latest scandals merely confirm my suspicions about Trudeau and his style (since that's all it is) of governing. However, in talking with my parents recently (who usually stand centre-left), they can no longer support this government. I'll be interested to hear what the rest of my family think on this, since leading up to the last election I was made to feel like an absolute fool for supporting Harper's Conservatives. I expect silence, however.Meltdown99 said:
I cannot believe people in this country are not furious? How many people in this country got meaningless non-violent convictions that are fucking up their lives? And these clowns think this company should escape prosecution, why 4000 Quebec jobs, what about Alberta, Ontario...probably 10000 + people in the GM supply chain will be out of work in 12 months? Fuck Trudeau. Harper was right, he was not ready...nice hair, soon to be grey.
I was never a huge Harper fan. But, I judge politicians based on whether they govern without always raising my taxes, at least Harper wasn't always after the taxpayer. And of course, Trudeau was in Toronto trying to sell people on his carbon tax. Because Canadians don't pay enough tax. Don't worry, there will be another scandal or 4 by the October election. Just remember, everything going on is Harper's fault, maybe Mulroney's, could be Rob Ford's fault, let's just blame Doug...
And to show people how out of touch the liberals are, they played that predators music at their cash grab rally, a day after HBO aired Neverland.
Trudeau should wait a week or so before reshuffling his cabinet. Just saying.

Harper was a f**king tool and I'd still take Trudeau over him considering where he was trying to take this country.Meltdown99 said:

I know you will. You moan that criminals are getting away with too much in Canada, but apparently, a PM who may have broken the law is OK with you. I never liked Harper either, but at least he was not inventing more ways to tax me...Thirty Bills Unpaid said:

There is no way I'm voting for the conservatives in any foreseeable future. They have almost nothing in common with my priorities. The SNC-L issue is hugely disappointing but overall the liberals have done more that I wanted done in this term than the conservatives ever have.
Strange how taxes seems to be the sole defining voting issue for some.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0

It is my vote and I'll vote for who I choose. I do know that I am not supporting a PM that either obstructed justice or came very close to it. Then to see how he freely insults Canadians. No Thanks.Give Peas A Chance…0

Canadian politics is very confusing. Doesn't the AG serve for the sole purpose to protect the chief executive's political interests? Why isn't Trudeau calling this a witch hunt?0

And if I had my choice between Wynns Cap n Trade or Trudeau's carbon tax, I prefer the carbon tax...at least he is rebating some monies back to those who can least afford the extra tax. Under Wynn's plan, no one got a rebate except people who invested in green energy and cars. I do not think poor people should subsidize well off people to buy a $50 000 Tesla or 30 grand in new windows.Meltdown99 said:

On the off chance this was a serious question, here's the answer:Dual Role: Minister of Justice and Attorney GeneralThe Department was officially established upon the adoption of the Department of Justice Act in 1868, with Sir John A. Macdonald presiding as the first Minister of Justice and Attorney General. The Act stipulates that the Minister of Justice is responsible for the management and direction of the Department, and is also ex officio Her Majesty’s Attorney General of Canada. The Department supports the Minister in both of these roles. See the Department of Justice Act. The Minister of Justice has lead responsibility for 46 Acts of Parliament and shared responsibility for another 6 Acts and areas of federal law by ensuring a bilingual and bijural national legal framework. The responsibilities include a number of legal policy areas, such as criminal justice (including youth criminal justice), family law, access to justice, Aboriginal justice, public law, and private international law. The Attorney General protects the interests of the Crown by litigating on behalf of the Crown and by providing legal advice to the Government, departments and agencies of government. Most prosecution functions of the Attorney General have been assigned to an independent organization, the Public Prosecution Service of Canada, established in 2006. The Attorney General is supported in this role by the Director of Public Prosecutions. my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0

Scheer kind of is a Doug Ford/Donald-like candidate IMO - enough for me to totally feel comfortable making an anti-Scheer vote by voting Liberal. Yes, Trudeau is far better than Harper was and better than Scheer would be. What I'm really upset about is Jagmeet Singh and how he's going to make it impossible for the NDP to be a possibility. Man, do I ever miss Jack Layton.Thirty Bills Unpaid said:
