Definitely not my ex because we to IKEA. He's my ex despite how much fun we could have going to IKEA... or anywhere else, really. Oh well. He turned out to be a pretty run of the mill opportunistic scumbag compulsive liar. But a fun one, lol.

Yuo. And the products they sell are flimsy and cheap. (From my own experiences.)
It is absolutely the best place to buy shelves for vinyl collections though. And it is a GREAT place for younger people and poor people to get cheap furniture. Also, we've got some really amazing leather sofas at my office in the lounge and the lab, and I got those at IKEA... those were $2500 each though. IKEA isn't ALL cheap stuff. They have a big range. Yes, the cheaply priced stuff is cheaply made. Of course. Finally, they have good cheese graters, and totally acceptable and attractive drinking glasses for like $1 each.
IKEA is a good place at the end of the day. I wouldn't furnish my whole place with IKEA stuff or anything, but there are plenty of very useful things you can get there, and they do have some higher quality items now as well.

I will give you that. Yes, it is a good place for students/young people/low-income people. I only learned of Ikea through my sister, because she shopped there a lot when she was just starting out. She never goes now, too busy is her common complaint. But the busiest store I've ever been to is Costco. By 10:30 on Saturday, good luck finding a place to park...
