My man!  Enjoy that and be sure to post a pic.  What kind did you go with?
I still have to discuss toppings with my wife.  What do you suggest?

I'm a huge fan of the cheese and sausage deep dish.  I don't get too fancy with it.  The sausage is a flat patty and is the first layer, then cheese, then tomato on top.  If you like sausage on your pie, it's a great choice.

We usually get a spinach and garlic thin crust as well.  My wife prefers it and it's actually pretty good.

Tip - a personal pan from Lou's is more than one person may want to ingest in one sitting.

Oh yeah, the sausage patty is the way to go for Lou's deep dish.  Had one on Sunday night and it was phenomenal.  Enjoy!

I just texted him and he said it comes in a sort of pan and you just leave it in there and follow the instructions.

I know you pizza purists might scoff - red onion, artichoke, and mushroom on a whole wheat/cornmeal crust extra crispy. Unconventional but delicious.

All pizza is welcome in this thread! Unconventional pies are often some of the most delicious.
Western Maryland pizza is not accepted in this thread.
There is no such thing.

How many are you ordering?  Do at least 1 sausage for that classic deep dish style. The rest, take your pick.

Had these babies the other night from D’Oliva in Philly. Small Pepperoni and one of their specialties which was chunky marinara, prosciutto, arugula, and burrata cheese. Both very good.

On this beautiful morning of wake and bake and craving a leftover slice, I curse this entire damn thread, especially the last two pies shown.

Via Roma, North Conway , New Hampshire.  I knew it was gonna be good when the woman who took my order on the phone had a thick Italian accent.  The crust on both pies was awesome.
