I do not care for the music of Andy Wood and Mother Love Bone.
Very few people would if it weren’t for Pearl Jam
I have to draw my line right here. Back-asswards   Without Andrew Wood and Mother Love Bone, very few people would have heard of Pearl Jam.

I don't understand how this makes sense .... Pearl Jam wouldn't exist if Andy Wood hadn't died, so saying what you just said seems illogical, at least on this particular space time continuum, lol.
If you're trying to suggest that the reason PJ became to successful was because Andy Wood's name and the name/reputation of his band created recognition for Pearl Jam, I couldn't disagree with you more. But as this is an unpopular opinions thread, that is a-okay, haha. ;)

That's real close to my point but you failed to mention the other guys in Mother Love Bone that were signed, touring, and making great music. All that band needed was a new singer. If Andrew Wood wasn't a once in a million they could have replaced him and there would be no Pearl Jam.

Brussel sprouts are quite excellent roasted when tossed with some olive oil and sea salt.

    It's a hopeless situation...

I've tried, I really have, but the vaunted '06 Grand Rapids bootleg sucks, even though the setlist is great. Just doesn't sound very good. Ed's voice is too thin on the vocals and the mix is subpar.

    - The first five records are the big five.
    - Pendulum is the best show opener and Yellow Leadbetter is the best ending
    - Take the best songs from Binaural, Riot Act and S/T and make one great record out of them.
    - I never get tired of Ten, but Vs. and Yield are better.
    - Nirvana should definitely do a reunion tour with John McCauley.
    - McCready's solos live on Even Flow and Black allways give me the chills.

That doesn't make the point about not many people today would care about MLB if it wasn't for PJ back-asswards.

Spreading single albums over multiple discs makes vinyl a pain in the ass.

CD sounds better than reissued vinyls.

This can be and is true for instances in which there was no effort to maximize the fidelity of the source tapes for the vinyl, OR if the CD is sourced to produce HDCD.

If the source materials are used properly, CD cannot replicate vinyl even in HDCD.

    - Covers should  be limited to 2 or 3. They should be played at the same time of the show, and a Surgeon General's warning should be displayed on the screens notifying how many minutes PJs music will be delayed so the fans in attendance for PJs music can grab a beer at that time.

    - Baseball stadiums are absolutely horrible for concerts. Play an arena and charge me more.

-10c seniority policy for reserved seating that punishes  newer members every show every tour is absolutely the worst ticket policy in the history of rock and roll.

    - Charging the same price for prime floor seats and obstructed view nosebleeds behind a post is absurd and socialistic. Newer members get punished twice... for never getting a realistic shot at quality seats, AND subsidize the market value cost of the closer seats.

    - Stopping the incredible freight train that is Corduroy at the amazingly emotional "absolutely nothing's changed" verse, one of the highlights of PJs vast and impressive library...to sing YEAH YEAH YEAH, and a take all the momentum and power from the song is a baffling and frustrating decision every time by Mr. Vedder.

-Constantly getting a popup of "draft saved" on this forum is absolutely beyond annoying.

    :-)
Because I agree with most of your points (especially the Corduroy one), my only criticism of your post is that your thoughts aren't that "unpopular."

ROFL because I tend to get some heat for the seniority ticket policy criticism and ravaged for saying too many covers turns a good thing (2 or 3) into a disaster (more than 5)

Glad there is least one other fan that agrees with the above and especially stopping Corduroy for yeah yeah yeah. Please PJ, don't ruin Corduroy any more!

The only thing that makes this unpopular is that you said "now," as if it didn't apply 15 years ago.

Tracking baskets made is a helluva lot easier than tracking balls, strikes, outs, innings, pitches thrown, foul tips, men stranded on base, on base percentages, ERA's, and all the other crap, corked bats, and home run records by steroid users. Different strike zones in national league vs american league. Designated hitter in one league, pitchers batting in the other.  It's fucked.
Also, until every single field and stadium has the same dimensions.....statistics don't mean a damned thing in baseball.  I'm tired of hearing announcers say, "that would have been a home run in Yankee Stadium".  A home run should just be a fucking home run in any stadium.
And....Pete Rose belongs in the Hall of Fame as a player.  I don't give a shit if he gambled....he is the all-time hit leader.
    Fuck baseball.

He does belong in the hall of fame but think about the gambling thing. If you placed a bet I would say, if you placed a bet on your own team you're obviously going to play your best as you normally would but what if you bet on another team for divisional etc. ?? Where do you draw the line.
