That he claimed, under oath before the committee, and last night on Faux News that he wasn’t an excessive partying drinker. Evidence seems to contradict that. Facts, things that are in print, witness statements. But beside that, he also lied about how he came into possession of dem documents during the Ken Starr investigation. And if he’s confirmed and seated, you’ll see a dem house hold impeachment hearings.EdsonNascimento said:

How'd you handle it? How about hired someonewith an allegation because it wasn't proven?EdsonNascimento said:

That being said, the way our democracy works, he gets voted on under current leadership and there you go.
Work to elect a different congress and president, and then you get the “spoils”. Don’t try to circumvent it to fix things the way you want them.

You know it has no bearing on this SCOTUS appointment but it is a very good question to be asking her (ask to understand). Cause that is some seriously scaring shit right there. Knowing what is going on and continually putting yourself at risk....scary indeed.my2hands said:Question: she knows these guys are drugging and gang raping girls in 1981... and she continues to hang out with them, becoming a victim herself in 1982?

He’s guilty? Huh. Hadn’t seen that. I’ve heard accusations that need consideration. Haven’t seen guilty yet. . Interesting.Halifax2TheMax said:
So you’re okay with a “guilty” sex offender or perjurer sitting on the Supreme Court? Is that what your argument has become? Are you outraged by kapernick and did you burn your Nike’s?EdsonNascimento said:
Ha ha. Typical left. Please quote where I said I think he’s innocent.Halifax2TheMax said:
If an FBI investigation clears Kavanaugh as you seem to believe in his innocence, he gets confirmed and sits on the SC. If there’s confirmation of the allegations and his nomination is withdrawn or he’s voted down, he returns to the DC circuit. His life is hardly “ruined.” Further, why would his life be ruined if he’s the innocent choir boy he claims to be? Seems you might not believe in his innocence and are playing the “victim” card.EdsonNascimento said:
That’s what you think the end result of this is if she’s proven to have not quite told the truth? I want to live in your world.Halifax2TheMax said:
How is his life ruined? He goes back to the DC circuit and hits the speaker circuit to lecture about evil liberal dem women and their false allegations to protect their radical abortion agenda. Ruined? And why not an FBI investigation? What is he afraid of, or what are you afraid of, if he’s innocent as you and he claim?EdsonNascimento said:
Except you know and I know that means he never gets confirmed. So if she recants or is proven liar his life is ruined. My option allows everyone to get what they want. Your option only ensures you get what you want. If this was brought up timely as Feinstein very easily could have in an anonymous fashion, ok. But this smells of something else, and unfortunately those playing that game don’t like others calling their potential bluff.Gern Blansten said:
How about this....put the appointment on hold until the investigation is done. 1) Appoint Judge Kavanaugh immediately.
2) Do complete FBI investigation - if proven guilty, he is removed and we start over again. If not guilty, life goes on
And for for the record, I made no argument. I proposed a hypothetica proposal to appease the left and the right. That hypothetical can’t happen, but I find the responses interesting.
And couldnt care care less about mediocre QB that turned down a $14 million guaranteed option and claimed victim hood or how his business partner who was paying him anyway decided to use him. Buy Nike. Why would I care?

Get over it. The dam has burst.
Unlike many of you, I’m sticking to facts as we know them today. What you are saying is disengenuous at best.
Facts are, he's already lied under oath; several documented times before these allegations were even raised, actually.
That being said, the way our democracy works, he gets voted on under current leadership and there you go.
Work to elect a different congress and president, and then you get the “spoils”. Don’t try to circumvent it to fix things the way you want them.
We survived jimmy carter. Nyc survived David Dinkins, so no worries. The pendulum swings. Right now, it’s against your beliefs. Very soon it will more align. Our framers were geniuses
What was your solution again? That he gets confirmed but doesn't do the job until after an investigation is completed to see if he can do that job? Is this how you typically hire people? Because I think most people would think it makes sense to ensure that someone can do the job before he or she is hired, rather than having to fire them after you find out that they can't.
And somehow this was supposed to make the FBI investigation go more quickly? I don't think you explained that bit, which isn't surprising.my small self... like a book amongst the many on a shelf0 -
Only two people need to be influenced. Word is 6 Republicans now have concern. My money is no confirmation at this point. There's a ton of noise on this board saying little.
I find the Kavanaugh statement for tomorrow very interesting. He has backed off the "choir boy" strategy from the the interview. He's now talking about bad choices in his younger days.0 -

A bit of free advice. Stop watching news on tv. Find objective sources. Granted that’s near impossible right now, so question everything including your own beliefs. People you see on tv are not the majority of people. It’s convenient to paint people in those broad strokes. But remember, they’re all after a buck.
Sorry. The world doesn't work the way you tell it to.0 -
