I really hope there isn't any of this shit at the US shows.  Wrigley 2 will be my first GA experience and I want it to be an enjoyable one.  I will not be waiting in line all day but plan to get in line right about when doors open.

I can almost guarantee you that it won't happen at the US shows.
    Good I hope so.

I walked by the Rome GA line and some girl stopped me to explain the line system. I stopped her mid sentence to tell her I couldn’t care less and kept walking. I’d never seen someone so intent on enforcing a terrible system.

    Thank you 10C and Santos!

This was the “line” in Padova. Behind security is the front but people were just coming and going because they had put their name on a list.

Just wanna say, when there was numbers in 2012 and 2014 - most people still wre in the que and didn't (what I saw) leave for "the entire day". felt more like an extra step to avoid assholes pushing and not to have people leave for hours on hours.

But, maybe that has changed. Or I was naive.
The reports from Padova make it sound like there were a lot of people who received numbers and then left the queue.  Someone posted yesterday that there were about 100 people in the queue when they showed up, but the "list" already had about 450 names.  Folks returned right before doors opened to have their names called.
That's what I've experienced. In 2013 there was total chaos because right before doors opened, everyone who thought they had an amazing spot in line by getting there a few hours early got a nasty surprise when all the assholes who left the line all day suddenly showed up all at once and jumped to the head of the line. The people who assumed they'd likely get the rail suddenly found out that they were moving back at least 100 spots. And just the physical task of moving a line back to accommodate these jerks, for reasons a lot of people were completely ignorant to, created so much chaos and anger. And these creeps running the list started literally screaming and yelling at people to make room for themselves and all their cheater friends, and acted as though they actually had authority to be telling anyone else what to do. The gall of these people is staggering. I have had to stand with these people in the pit too, and the majority of them are unbelievably unlikable, pathetic in their creepy desire to be noticed by EV, and also very aggressive about "their space" in the pit. Oh, and they are also perfectly willing to lie to generous people in order get more GA tix for their friends.

Bravo to 10C for putting their foot down. I hope these rules are enforced adequately.

We never saw a decent queue in Padova until 2 pm. When they started calling names from the 500 people list.

    Good evening,

I am writing to you to better explain a situation regarding the comment on the Ten Club Forum, I would like to inform everybody about what actually happened. This person ( AD161755 ) is accusing me of being a nazi hooligan and having a nazi attitude, putting details about my back’s panther’s tattoo.

First of all the panther’s tattoo is the symbol of the Black Panther Party, second of all I also have a tattoo of Malcolm X’s face.

But mostly important, I was the guy who throw the rainbow LGBT flag “FUCK TRUMP LOVE LIFE” that eddie showed in Rome and who throw the parka “YES WE ALL CARE” that Eddie was wearing it in Padova.

It’s pretty obvious that I am not a nazi and I don’t consider myself a nazi at all.

In Padova i entered as fiftieth and in Rome as twenty-fifth, so it is clear that I was not responsible for the queue, but I was just helping my Australian and Canadian friends to talk with the Italians. This person is accusing me even if he arrived at 12 o’clock at the concert, pretending to jump over the queue that was there from the day before, with the people that were just waiting at the ticketing office or in front of the toilets.

I just wanted to help and calm the crowd down as much as possible.

The rules of the Ten Club require a respectful behavior, with no mercy for whoever tries to jump over the queue. Unfortunately there was no Ten Club security that could witness that and no-one of the Italian crew’s security took over, which is a common thing in Italy regardless dangerous situations.

I am a fireman and I know how to avoid panic in crowded places, especially because I was hearing rumors about this kind of behaviors and I just didn’t want that to happen and calm the situation down.

There are many 10c members who were present on the spot, from Australia to Canada, to USA and obviously Italy that can testimony of my good behavior and that I am not a violent or nazi person at all.

If you’d like more details feel free to get in touch.

PS: This person who accuses me ( AD161755 ), has entered ... boh ... maybe as a three-hundredth?!!!
Maybe she was not happy about having so many people in front of him, who slept on the street in a tent, while it was raining, and then looking for revenge?!!!

I like camping out sleeping on the street, knowing, joking and partying with other fans ... I do not arrive 2 hours before the opening of the gates, pretending to pass in front of everyone and fight for it.

Thanks for the explanation. But why do you guy's still use the numbers and the list? It is clearly against TC policies. And it is cousing trouble for several tours now...

    Quote

"Ten Club and Pearl Jam Security considers this fan run list system null and void and we encourage all fans not to participate in it. Simply stay in line in the order you arrived. Otherwise you will be placed in the back of the line, lose your early entry privileges, or lose your membership entirely. We do not want to see any numbers on hands or any lists moving forward, so please take this warning seriously."

I adapt myself to the majority, democracy is that wins and decides the majority. If you believe that the numbers and the list can prevent tensions and quarrels, in the interest of safety and the protection of all, what problems are there? I conform to the majority, respecting the most important rule of 10c, and I believe also of the whole society: honesty and respect for others.
I slept in a sleeping bag and tent without having a hotel and without going away, I like it, but not all of them act like that and are willing to fraternize, and we need to reason as a group and not selfishly.
If altruism and empathy were the thought of everything, this world would surely be happier.
However it is not my interest now to discuss the numbers, my interest is that the truth is known about me and what happened in Padova and Rome.

Honestly I think that people get upset just because they arrive late at the concert and didn’t undrestand that people were sleeping in front of the gates from 2 days... In my opinion the list is ok if is a tool to detect people who want to jump the line. And I’ll tell you more, people who get the front row are ALL people who are sleeping in there, I am one of them an I can tell you that the problem is not between us, but just after us. Is between people who doesn’t know who is in front of them or behind them so, very often, just because we care about everybody and not just about the people in front row, we try to keep all safe in a FAIR line where there are no assholes jumping the line.
Ps: I know the panther guy. If he is a nazi I am Rita Pavone.

Well, the problem is not the numbers (which, if used correctly, are perfectly fine, at least  for a lot of other fan clubs): the problem are people not happy about anything and complaining for everything that's not how they prefer .
10c doesn't like numbers? Perfect, then 10c please take an active role in the line management, to help people and to prevent any dangers: I'd like to know officially why this has not been done yet, balecausenit would be resolutive, fair, and officially checked.  Otherwise we'll continue to see posts like the one for OP, who came 300th and complained about a system that did not allow him to be first.
And I purposely leave out the "fighters' posts", which are just plain ridiculous without anything to add (calling names like fuckhole to a person you don't know, in a situation where you were not present at all, is nothing but pure class, bravo!)
Furthermore, I am Italian (and I was NOT at Rome's gig) and all obvious phrases (mafioso, in Italy is always like this, Italians always behave like this, and other assorted kind words) are borderline offensive and racist: I'm sure it happened elsewere and nobody cried to 10c (for something that seems not even being true).
We are fine people in general, and at least we don't carry weapons (or use it every 5 minutes).
    Thanks for the attention
    Luca

I still can't understand why it's ok to do what you are told not to then upset people.  There is no need for a list or numbers. It's the people who make the problem  by not being honest.
what I do not understand is how do you say that I'm a Nazi ... sorry but I do not know whether to laugh or get angry for it.
said that I was there and I speak for what I saw and lived: I repeat I have not organized anything, I entered fiftieth in Padova and twenty-fifth in Rome, but I have not seen a security crew that stops the smart, and manage 400 / 500 people do not think it's an easy job.
For me, everyone's safety and security are the most important thing. 400/500 people are 400/500 different ideas, I do not think it's easy without a controller or someone to keep calm and tranquility.
I have not seen great problems in Padova and Rome, if there were problems I think 400 emails of protest would have arrived ?!!

Honestly I think that people get upset just because they arrive late at the concert and didn’t undrestand that people were sleeping in front of the gates from 2 days... Wait now . I didn't call you a Nazi or any other name. . And I too slept outside the gigs many times with no problem . Just simple no list needed when people are honest. No name calling or threats  . Only that people who are scared because  of people's behaviour  is not ok with me. I won't  be having that.
