So Team Trump Treason is bitching about going to that national security threat that is Canada for the G7 meeting because he opposes them and doesn’t want to be lectured. What the fuck happened to the tough negotiator that was going to be tough and negotiate way better, beautiful, the most beautiful trade deals ever? Team Trump Treason’s fragile little ego can’t take the snickers from the likes of Macron, Trudeau, Abe, Merkle and May. Or no peeing scheduled on the agenda? My family will be going to Italy. We did joke about the Canadian thing. But in the end I said we will just be who we are and if anyone has a problem with that, that's on them. Though, I imagine we'll end up apologizing for the idiots that voted for Trump.Go Beavers said:My daughter and I are going to Amsterdam next week (we’ll be at night 2). Cue BS intervening on Trump supporters' behalves here saying something like: no no no. It was actually a very wise and informed voter base that elected Trump. They were so dissatisfied with the system that they elected a real man of the people who was for sure going to be better than the alternative. They swung for the fences and knocked it clean out of the park!
His core base of morons are still as strong as ever. Nothing will change their minds. They're far too stupid to think objectively (they wouldn't have a clue when America has actually gotten great again) and to boot... they love watching minorities in handcuffs getting deported from their country (this alone is enough for them). And this core is much larger than anyone had ever imagined- there's tons of them.
Unless halifax is correct, the downfall of Trump is going to have be every liberal voter and every remorseful partisan voter getting off their couch to vote the clown out of office.
* I had become somewhat disengaged with the electoral process in recent years. The McDonald Trump calamity has resoundingly demonstrated the need for it.

Yeah, same here. The cottage is where somewhat well off people go to vacation on a lake or at the beach, and semi-opaque curtains blow prettily in the open window and there are flower beds along the path leading to the front door, lol, and a cabin is more rustic and more out in the boonies - it may or may not have indoor plumbing.Go Beavers said:

Advanced course - do you say cottage or cabin?
Westerners say cabin, easterners say cottage, both refer to essentially the same thing. You're in the middle so I guess you get both.

Nah, I disagree, though usage might be moving in this direction now. Traditionally westerners have used cabin and easterners cottage, whatever it looked like. This is one of those recognized regional variations in language. When I moved to Ontario in 1997 I noticed the difference.PJ_Soul said:

Ya, I know that people in Ontario have a different definition - this is why I've actually discussed this before with people from Ontario. I was just saying what those words mean in my own little world in metro Van. Also, people from Ontario call going to a cabin (cottage to them) "camping", which is not at all what camping means in my circle. You have to be sleeping in a tent for it to be camping.oftenreading said:

The differences between Ontario and BC are stunning to me sometimes. Honestly, it often feels like we're from two different countries, and not just because of the differences in language usage.
