Finally picked up the The Doors catalog by Analogue Productions. Not sure why I waited to so long for these, maybe the price.... but they are well worth it.

No kidding.  How do they compare to originals?  Maybe use LA as a comparison if you have both

I don't have original 1st pressings to compare to, but I can say these AP blow the Rhino reissues out of the water.

    Thanks goldrush!

Just gave it a spin.  Even though it only adds two songs not on Freedom, I like the sequencing better, the more brief format works great and the sound, the sound, on this Lp... fantastic!

Paul Butterfield Blues Band, East West.  Found this at a Goodwill for $3  I thought that was a pretty good deal, and then I got it home and ran it through the Spin Clean and realized it's a first issue mono!  I gave it a spin and was blown away to hear this on something real rather than my crappy Edsel reissue vinyl.  In fact, despite a few clicks here and there, this warm analogue mono version sounds so good that while listening to the title track I found myself in tears.  Not that it's sad music- not at all!- but sometimes when music is this good I get oddly emotional and worked up.  What a record, what a lucky score! Thank you, vinyl gods!

    great album

This is one of several records way back when that got away from the pack.  So happy to have a copy of this again.  British Deram label version no less.

"Born to Die" will make you cry.  Great British blues album!

I am super pleased with this release - it sounds better than I expected! Analog Spark did a good job with it.

I FINALLY found a copy of this where the vinyl is in really good shape and the price is somewhat reasonable ($35 USD!! + shipping from Sweden, d'oh). It took months to find one that wasn't way too pricey for only VG+ condition. Very excited - this is a stellar album IMHO. Pretty sure I literally wore out the cassette by 1993.

I have not heard that one but your enthusiasm plus the AllMusic review I just read make it sound mighty fine.
