I don't see what the concern is here. If a Trump supporter wants to come on this thread and state why they think things are going well they are free to do so. Yes, they will face rebuttals, that should be expected. There is also nothing stopping someone who is in agreement with his policies or actions to come on here and rebut anyone who thinks otherwise. I think the main reason you don't see it happen very often is because it is hard to speak for anything he does because of the terrible person he is. You might as well go to the Bill Cosby or Harvey Weinstein threads and try to proclaim the great things they did and see where that gets you as well. Terrible people may momentarily be able to hide or conceal their true self by doing something that seems great, but that should not allow their acts to be forgiven or forgotten unless they make a change and seek forgiveness through acknowledgement of their misdeeds.
    Good point.

If you become a supervisor of a productive organization and you stay the course of your predecessor you don't get credit for anything besides not screwing up a good thing by implementing changes where they aren't needed. I guess you can give credit for recognizing not to change effective methods and practices, but anything you change which results in a negative (wealth, employee turn over, job satisfaction, effectiveness, etc.) you are going to own it. I don't think credit is the right term here. Trump has not destroyed the economy or started a war, but several of the measures he has taken have started tipping the scales back the other way. It's just that these moves take time to fully be felt on an entire country. I just don't see where he gets credit for anything at this point? Credit for passing his tax bill? Ok, sure. Do I think it's good credit? No, but I guess we can give him credit for doing what he said, just like ISIS takes credit for terrorist attacks. They both did what they said, but it doesn't mean it's good.
I get that. I laugh when I hear the those on the left give democrats credit for things in the first few months of their term, but then turn around and say to a republican "well, it was like that when you took office".

But I'm talking about NK and ISIS specifically. Do I think he had anything to do with the Koreas coming to the table? Not sure. I'm skeptical. Although Moon says differently, and out of him and Un, I'd believe Moon quite a bit more. But Moon might just be playing the game with Trump to let Trump think he did it.

But my point is that most people here just default to "Trump had zero to do with that" with very little to zero to factually back that up. The response is always the same. "he watches tv all day". Yes, yes, I understand context and who we're talking about. But that doesn't work in every individual instance.

I think he's a tool. But not everyone in his admin is. and even a tool who knows/thinks he knows what he wants can still get shit done.

I can see why someone who supports trump or even any of his policies wouldn't come here. They get piled on almost immediately "YOU OWN THIS DECISION!" "YOU'RE THE REASON PEOPLE ARE BEING RIPPED AWAY FROM THEIR FAMILIES!". "DO YOU KNOW ANY GOOD NAZIS?" "(INSERT RACIST BY ASSOCIATION CLAIM HERE!)" are but a few of the shoutings I've seen on AMT.

Most of his "accomplishments" fell in his lap.  North Korea's testing facility destroyed itself.  Now they are using it as a way to get something from us and they will likely succeed.  They still know how to make a bomb and for all we know they have another underground site that is still functional.

The tax cuts are nice in part.  I don't disagree that we needed them for the middle class but there is no dispute that this was a major tax cut for the top 1%.

I don't think he deserves any consideration for the Nobel related to North Korea.  His twitter threats should put an end to any of that talk.

That whole testing facility theory is just that. A theory. And not a very good one. It seems more like one that American spun to make themselves feel better. The real story is more unsettling and doesn't at all suggest that the NK nuclear program collapsed because of that testing site issue. In fact, many experts have suggested that testing stops when the weapon has been perfected, and NK has certainly never suggested that their program is dead. Also, do people really believe that their entire nuclear program lived at one testing site?

    No, he isn't.
His businesses all fail and he walks away rich, he's a top notch promoter of himself and a con man.

To your question, that's a very simplistic view.
Everyone running the businesses walked away from Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers with hundreds of millions, are you saying they were good businessmen?  No, they were con men who got rich and destroyed businesses, at that they were successful for sure.
When you drive business after business into the ground and walk away with money, when the only thing you've successfully sold is your name...yeah it's a pretty easy dispute.

Filling your pockets with money is not business success, period.
I suppose that's an unAmerican idea right now, the masses have watched enough TV with finance dopes like Trump parading wealth around that they've forgotten that America was born as a place of ingenuity and industriousness, where men and women built to build, not just stack bills in the vault.

After torch carrying shield wielding nazi's invaded a progressive southern city, caused a riot, and murdered a protester... Donald Trump said there were "good people on both sides"...

Defend that all you want... it was a horrific, moronic, and hateful thing to say... I was putting that out as just one example, out of thousands, that Trump is a piece of shit that should not be supported by anybody... let's see that happen in your country and then see what you say

you just proved my point. I am not defening any fucking thing. trumps a fucking asshole and a terrible president. I was responding to people saying Trump supporters are welcome here. I countered that with what I have seen here. I have rarely seen anyone come here and support trump and get welcomed. they almost always get slaughtered and called names. tell me, though, how am I good at being a contrarian? I am simply stating how I see things here.

How come no president prior never even came close to sitting down with North Korea?
Did that fall in his lap too or did some of his ideas actually work.

Other presidents have been invited. Several, in fact. The others that have been invited declined to meet, after consideration of what the offer likely represented. Trump has agreed to meet, because he thinks highly of his negotiating powers, but it’s cettainly not correct to spin the offer as due to Trump’s diplomacy.

Trump supporters get slaughtered here for a legitimate reason. It's just like if, say, a Harvey Weinstein supporter came along and went off about how great that guy is. Wouldn't that person deserve to get "slaughtered" for defending a serial sexual predator? Or what if someone came on here voicing support for, say, Hitler? Well, any Trump supporter is defending a serial sexual predator too, as well as a con man, a liar, someone who is tearing apart environmental protections, and someone who defends neo-Nazis and who fakes being religious. Why should anyone be expected to be cool with someone who defends all that?
