I work for MoPop and I was told until the end of the year. And let me tell you that I have known about this since February and it has been absolutely killing me not to post about it, but we were told to let the band announce it. It's going to be amazing!
Special guests to open the exhibit do you think??!
It's always a possibility, but I honestly haven't heard anything yet. Keeping fingers crossed, though. That would be icing on the cake!

Do you know how many tickets are being given out for this event?

Must be living right, very high number but so far have been drawn for both the Seattle shows (reserved), Missoula (GA) and now the MoPop screening. Along wth the Sub Pop show on the 11th going to be one crazy amazing week. Since I'm reserved for Seattle and a hi 600K number figured the screening would be a fun way to see the show up close since my seats probably won't be.

I honestly don't. It's a private event, so there isn't a lot of information being circulated to us. That's not unusual when it's a private event. Judging from the amount of people who lost the lottery it must be somewhat small. The bummer is that even though I'm on the staff, I will have to go through the same process as everyone else to attend. I decided against entering the lottery because $84 for a pair of tickets to a place I work at is kind of a bitter pill to swallow. There's always a chance that there might be an opportunity for staff to attend the screening, but I won't know that until it gets closer.

I was wondering if they might do this on the off days in Chicago and Boston too but transporting all that memorabilia might be risky.  With only two more cities, not impossible.

Definitely not. This is going to be a huge gallery and will be taking over the space that we currently have a Star Trek exhibit. It's two levels.
This saddens me as it's becoming increasingly obvious I won't make it.

You really think it won't eventually turn into a traveling exhibit, at least for the Home Shows X Away Shows tour sites? Stones are currently still doing theirs and that exhibit is HUGE.
