His caddie should have slapped him upside the head. His own fault after the 2nd ball went in and still continued to hit the same club and use that much backspin.

Tiger is not out of it after Day 1 so that is exciting.  I think he can only improve on this first round.  He hasn't played a major in years so the adrenaline must have been felt.

Holy shit Tony Finau just destroyed his ankle celebrating a hole in one in the par 3 contest.  That was disgusting.
    And now he's the leader.

No doubt. Really battled back at the end to keep himself in contention.

Score on the par 5's and he's in the mix.

I don't understand how Finau is even walking right now let alone shooting 4 under at Augusta!  Crazy.

Gonna regret this one, but rolling with Jordan in my big pool.  Can't believe I'm moving off DJ, but taking the momentum and history.

Not a bad pick at all. He certainly knows how to make his way around that course and if he can get hot with the putter he could win it.
Told ya if he could get hot with the putter he could win. I mean his irons were spot on too though.

sergio rolled it back off the green four (five?) times. god, how I wished it had been eldrick.

as you know, finau grew up on the other side of the tracks in my current town.

spieth, rory, phil, kuchar, rickie, etc. were all scoring this afternoon...much more so than the has been.

Your Tiger hating posts today just can't compete with your Tiger hating posts back in the day.  Past your prime.  Sad!

Rory’s driving statistics yesterday are off the charts. That should keep him in contention, but a part of me thinks Spieth might run away and hide with this thing. It will be fun to watch.
