They could have had Luke 'talking' to Leia while she was floating in space (the same way he heard Obi Wan's voice in IV). The last thing she would have heard before passing would have been Luke's voice.“Do not postpone happiness”

Apart from the fact that it made zero sense for Leia to suddenly have these powers out of nowhere, it felt like they missed a perfect chance to write her out of the script. No disrespect to Carrie Fisher, but was there any need for her to be in the film at all after that point?
Plus, it would have solved the obvious problem of how to deal with Leia in Episode 9
It literally makes more sense than saying the powers are sudden and from nowhere.“Do not postpone happiness”

Anybody ever think it was weird when they say "may the force be with you" and NOBODY has the force? It was an old and dead religion/power that hasn't been around for 2 generations sans Luke and Vader.0

rgambs said:I was flagging on the treadmill today after only 10 minutes, so I hopped on YouTube and dialed up a compilation of all the lightsaber duels in Star Wars and the next 40 minutes just melted away incredibly fast.
I think I'll find a compilation of sword fights from movies like 300 and Troy (which sucked but had great fight choreography) for the next time I'm struggling.
There are some really cool fan-made Star Wars lightsaber battles on there too for those interested, Darth Maul vs 5 Jedi is a really good one.

Suspension of disbelief is pretty strong already in the Star Wars Universe, this isn't a stretch for me.Monkey Driven, Call this Living?0 -
I just got back from seeing it the second time.
I enjoyed it more this time.

Not a single thing about this film bothered me. I enjoyed the hell out of every scene. Twice! (So far.)
It's Star Wars, for crying out loud.
If some of the stuff y'all are harping on would have happened in Star Trek, I'd be on blast, but this is a big dumb space opera with intergalactic wizards and laser swords. It's neato!I SAW PEARL JAM0 -
Impressed it took this long for you to finally drop the Star Wars stinks when compared to Star Trek gauntlet.
Personally, I side with Wars over Trek....but I do love them both.
