I think we need to remember what happened this year. One of my best friends killed himself in 1995. I pretty much shut down for 6 months. Work, school, everything, it all pretty much went on hold. My friends were there for me when I came back to earth.
Eddie went on a tour. Different healing process for everyone. But I don’t see how it should have affected a single. From 2016 too.
It’s just laughable now, I almost hope it doesnt come for another couple years so we can set a really good record that hopefully will not be broken.
I think people should start accepting that Eddie and Chris were not close by the end.
For what it's worth, I got mine in Southern California today, too. Cool single, lots of thought put into Deep (it's a tribute to the band's tour crew, which I'm sure some will bitch about, but it seems a lot more, well, deep than repetitive insight about the band). All in all, I'm happy. It obviously came way late but I had kind of forgotten about it anyway, and in a year is it really going to matter whether it came in February 2017 or December 2017? Most people on here aren't going to spin it anyway, especially with a digital download easily accessible.

I personally don’t give a rats ass what the spine says. The calendar says it’ll be 2018 in a few days
This.
The single probably won't get to Australia until mid-January (if we're lucky), so we'll get a 2016 magazine and a 2017 single in 2018. No sign of a 2016 vinyl or 2017 magazine.
All of the speculation and arguments back and forth in this thread, and others, could have been avoided if 10C actually told us what was going on. It's as simple as that

I really don’t care. I’m kicking myself for paying $20 extra for the last two years for stuff I don’t care about. Will be keeping the old lady at digital and changing mine back to digital next sign up, they’ve really lost me on everything but tickets and vaults lately.

The stuff they send us is a bonus whenever it arrives. I’m in the club to buy tickets. Getting a fan club newsletter isn’t as important at 37 as it was at 15.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.
Some of us don't live anywhere near the places PJ play and are unwilling to pay for flights, hotels etc so get nothing else from the 10c apart from the single and the opportunity to buy other PJ music. For me, this is one of the reasons I am disappointed.
I don't care about the newsletter at all, don't even open them. But I do care about the vinyl, no matter which songs are on it.
But mainly I keep renewing for concert tickets. I didn't even know they sent an annual 45 until after I had paid my $10 via snail mail in the mid-nineties. But it was a nice surprise, and something I look forward to every year.

The stuff they send us is the stuff they're obligated to send, not some random "bonus". It is stuff we purchased by choosing the more expensive membership option.

It isn't a bonus. It's part of the annual membership benefits THEY are supposed to provide. That's fine if it's not important to you and all you're in the club for is to buy tickets. That's your choice. Most of us want what we pay for, and it'd be real nice to get it in the year we pay for it for a change. If they said "Give us $40 and we might send you something if and when we feel like it," then sure, anything that arrives is a bonus. You sign up knowing you probably won't get anything from it. But that isn't the terms provided under membership here. When they state "Give us $40 and we'll give you x, y, & z" then we deserve x, y, & z and not just whenever they feel bothered to do so. The complacency of fans that are okay with that type of practice isn't helping the issue. No other fan club operates this way, and if they did, I doubt it would be received with such indifference.
Cool. I was giving my opinion on it. I know others really want it and that’s cool. I gave all my singles away last year because I never listened to them but I’m sure I’m in the minority.

That's fine, but your opinion included presenting false information about the benefits of an analog membership being a bonus. You get to buy tickets with a digital membership too. I'm actually baffled by all the people flushing the extra money down the drain without caring. Maybe it's because of all that money we'll be getting back on our taxes now

Gotta agree with my friend Dyer here. They advertise the Analog membership to include an annual single. I haven't really bitched about this because I figured that they would make it up with a double 7" or something. But now it seems like they are labeling this single as 2017 and not giving any info about what happened with the 2016 single. Not a good look and really disappointing. I hope they rectify this with another single in early 2018. They really missed a great opportunity to do a 1995-like single this year. that would have made everything OK in my opinion.

All is forgiven if a new album is announced. Seriously guys though? You really think they will leave us hanging? NOT A CHANCE! When it comes it comes, I ain't worried.

Just curious, but has anyone on here actually written to or called 10c about this rather than just posting on a message board? They have an email and a phone number listed.
Find a lot of 10c members love to post about things on a message board, but never actually try to contact the fan club about it.

OK. I am aware they are closed this week. I've also been reading these threads. I guess I missed the posts where anyone has said they emailed, or called. Have you called?

Why would thousands of separate emails from members be the best way to get this info? Why wouldn't it be better for 10c to actually communicate with their members/customers? They announced a lot of things, many of which I have no interest in. It seems that an announcement about the single and Deep, which affects 100% of the membership would be something worth making. But I suppose you're right. We could organize a spam campaign, all ask the same question, and compare answers.

nice post mocking a logical question. Nowhere did I say every 10c member should email them as a spam campaign. Nowhere did I say 10c should not update us on the single and Deep. Nowhere did I say I did not disagree with people about it being late, or lack of updates. Nowhere did I say people don't have the right to complain about it being late. I guess you are making that wild assumption on all those topics from my post. Or are you just coming on here to stoke the fire? So let me ask you jeffbr, have you tried calling them to ask? You seem to have a lot of interest in this, but have you tried reaching out to 10c for an answer? And I'm not asking you in a mocking way like your post, generally curious.

Hey pjsteelerfan, I wasn't trying to stoke anything. It sounded like you were challenging the questioning of 10c, and your post sounded condescending. I apologize if I misinterpreted. To answer your question, I personally have not reached out because there have been a couple of posters in these threads who did, and they relayed the generic responses back. Those responses were mostly devoid of relevant information, and were the same type of generic responses we got in the 10c emails (update your address, shipping soon, etc....). Since I'd seen a couple of those, it seemed pointless to do it myself, or to encourage others to do it, since the non-information provided would have been the same. So again, sorry for the misunderstanding.

I agree. Especially for new members. Those of us that have been in the Tenclub over 20 years (and will probably renew every year until we die) have just grown used to this over the past half-decade so we're like "whatever." But it's a bad look when someone new joins the fanclub, reads about the holiday vinyl and thinks it's cool, and then doesn't get it when expected.

In fairness I don't think the band are very involved in things like the release of the fanclub stuff. This is a 10c/ management issue I would have thought.
