It’s still bad practice if you ask me..... and let’s face it they didn’t have a whole lot going on where they couldn’t have put something together. It’s two songs and it’s really just a matter of picking them and some artwork. Again it’s not as if they are not charging us for this stuff.....
First couple drafts of artwork probably all contained clowns, so they had to keep going back to the drawing board.
For the record no one was crying. We all pay to be in the ten club, which has a list of things you get when you pay to join. I repeat pay to join. If you went to a store or ordered something online and didn’t get what you paid for you’d say something right? That s all I’m saying. If it was free to join then I’d agree stop bitching.
I don't really get the holiday single time frame etc. So were we suppose to get the 2016 single last year? Or do we always get the single the year after like now?
Or is this the 2017 single (the RnR HoF show were in 2017 obviously) and the 2016 single is a mystery?

It used to be that we'd get the "holiday single" around or shortly after the holidays, up until the late 90'-2000's anyway. They've now changed it to "annual single", and the time frame which we can expect them is anyone's guess. The last several years, it's gotten later and later, to the point where we're now getting them a full calendar year AFTER the applicable membership year. This one's creating a lot of confusion, because it's supposedly the long-delayed 2016 one, but it says "2017" on it - so until the 10C team gives us some sort of clarification after they return from the holiday break, there's going to be a lot of speculation on whether this is 2016 or 2017, and whether or not they skipped a year, or if we still have an additional one coming for 2017. We'll see...

The old system wasn't without confusion either. People who joined in a certain year, but after the deadline weren't eligible for that year's release, but were eligible for the next one.
By moving the deadline to the last day of the year, anyone who joined in a certain year is eligible. Of course, this means they can't begin production until mid-January. Throw in the craziness of RSD and everyone trying to produce for that... it can't be a simple process.

I think they could begin production whenever they wanted. I'm sure they have a formula to predict how many they'll need. Extras are sold here anyway. I think it has more to do with band involvement/effort, which is pretty minimal when just selecting live tracks, but still...this band has only been semi-active for a while now
They manage to get vaults out on time every time, a much bigger task overall, but one where band is not involved.
There's got to be some better way of doing the membership Iike Pay for your membership for the following year before December 31st and ship out everything as a proper package in March. T shirt, single and Deep all together and save postage. All dated for the year it comes out in.
I renew in December and am international so I guess I don't wait as long as some on the single but it does mean my t-shirt is out of date before I ever get it.

Yeah it seems a typo of sorts to have 2017 on it but it would have been equally ridiculous to put 2016 on these items. So for those who have it, is it worth the wait or whatever was said. I suspect we will get another in 2018.
I think we need to remember what happened this year. One of my best friends killed himself in 1995. I pretty much shut down for 6 months. Work, school, everything, it all pretty much went on hold. My friends were there for me when I came back to earth.
Eddie went on a tour. Different healing process for everyone. But I don’t see how it should have affected a single. From 2016 too.
It’s just laughable now, I almost hope it doesnt come for another couple years so we can set a really good record that hopefully will not be broken.
I think people should start accepting that Eddie and Chris were not close by the end.

I am glad most people on here are agreeing with my original post. I really hate to give them any shit about anything but a spade is a spade and they dropped the ball here. Everyone on here works hard for their money and invests a lot in the band. I along with everyone else is just asking to get what we pay for and stop thinking we are whining or dumb or not going to notice because I for one am getting a litttle fed up. How about the app that hasn’t worked right for years now. Paid for that too. Start taking a little pride in your work and do the right thing by all of us.
