Hillary Clinton: What happened

Her book will do fine for a time and then in a few years you will see one in every thrift store in America. I've seen this time and again. Books on political figure with staying power are not all that common. A few few example: David McCullough's Truman, Walter Isaacson's Benjamin Franklin: An American Life.Gern Blansten said:
Here's an idea...don't buy her book. Check the sales once it comes out and update us as to whether the world wanted it.JimmyV said:Keep cashing them checks I guess. I don't think the world really needs another Hillary Clinton book, and I doubt very much she is going to be any more open and honest here than she's ever been in the past. That's not because she is a liar, but it is because she is a lifelong politician. But hey, if some publisher is willing to pay and there's an audience for it, have at it.
Hillary was a deeply flawed candidate who secured the nomination of her party via an even more flawed process that began (and arguably ended) long before the Iowa caucuses. She would undoubtedly have made a better President than Donald Trump but so too would almost anyone else. That isn't the bar for being a great or even good President.

I think there is a difference between winning an election and being a great president. was Hillary a leader, yes I would say she was. look at all the things she fought and won for. shit just her speech in Beijing on womans right makes her a great leader.brianlux said:^^^ I agree with everything Jimmy said.
The last presidential election was a mess. We had no one who truly inspired with leadership potential and because of that added up enough protest votes such that we ended up electing a clown. And if you are not a strong enough candidate to beat a clown in an election, you are probably not going to make a good (let alone a great) president.
Please, America, give us better choices in 2020!
