    while i am disgusted at the thought of oleary becoming the next conservative leader, i called this 2 years ago; trump's nomination and win paved the way for oleary to run. had it not been for trump, oleary wouldn't even have put his name in the hat.

    who is obsessed with america? maybe you are, but i'm certainly not. i also don't pretend we're better. we're different. less extreme in our ways. but not better.

    His father's name, good looks, a eulogy, a boxing match... That's pretty much celebrity.
    there is no denying that his good looks and his lineage had something to do with it. I won't deny that. no different than kennedy. but the rest? most people I know had zero idea about his other stuff until it came out when he entered the race. I didn't vote for him because of good looks or his name; i voted for him because:

    1) harper needed to go
    2) I liked the majority of his platform
    3) the NDP is a joke
    Hugh Freaking Dillon is currently out of the office, returning sometime in the fall

    The picture of his cabinet is hilarious. It reminds me of a Where's Waldo picture featuring Ben Carson and Nikki Haley..How about ol' crazy eyes? I swear, it's easy to picture the rest of these guys in Klan uniforms. He seriously picked the worst possible people for every position.

I do like my Governor and think he would make a great President, so there is some hope..
