    2013 Reissue.

    OOOH, Hows this sound?!?

So I bought both Tom Petty Box sets...

Volume 2 arrived the other day. I will say this. Packaging gets a big fat fuckin F. The opening is on the top and the gatefolds are packaged opening down so you can read the spine but this is stupid.

The size of the box is bigger than the expedit shelf system that I have(formerly kalax) so the box won't fit in the damn cubicle!

I'll be listening later on so I'll report back.
Any word if the Tom Petty LP's will be released individually?

importcd order arrived today. They had to cancel Satchel - The Family from my order because they were out. Totally bummed, was looking forward to that one. Packaging was first rate. Took me like 10 minutes to get the damn thing open!

Finally grabbed this on my way home from work on Friday

(side note: London Drugs has a surprisingly good selection of vinyl right now (I think it's a western Canadian chain only? Everyone loves it at any rate - London drugs is my electronics and imported candy go-to, lol. It's not a huge vinyl selection, but it has a lot of vinyl "essentials". A more serious collector could actually go there and fill in some of the glaring gaps in their collection, and it has most of the more sought after reissues (although they only keep a small number of each release, so can sell out fast). Plus the prices are good. I got this album for under $25 CAD, which is the same as on Amazon.ca. I noticed a lot of other well-priced albums for in-store.)

It was $8, had to grab it! Especially after picking up the Newbury Comics Diary a couple weeks ago. I don't think the shop owner even knew what it was.

Soundstage Direct 20% off sale. Had to pay $5 to have these shipped because I preordered Singles Soundtrack.

Didn't want to wait till the end of May for everything.

Not sure if this has been posted before. Nothing came up in the search.
New Warner Music vinyl only label that lets you vote on what they will press every month from their archives.
30 day preorder period determines the pressing number.
Seems pretty cool, depending on the selections. They have to have a huge archive!

Jeremy played 4 songs from his new record when I saw him last July...
    Be Not Afraid
    Ancient Road, Distant Satellite
    Amazing World
    The Long Wait Is Over
Not sure if these are the official song names,
he never told us what they were called!!
He did say the new album was coming along nicely,
but he wasn't completely happy with what he had...
and it still needed a bit more work!!

Finally came! Sounds phenomenal. My only complaint is that the low end seems a bit lacking. Maybe I'm just not use to a true, un-colored mix.

Wow. Took forever. I think it sounds exceptional! I didn't notice a lack of bottom but I don't think I expected it either.

    SoundStageDirect takes forever.

It could just be that my setup is lacking, but even with my bass-heavy M44-7 cart, I find myself turning the sub up when playing this.

Do you have a pure mode on your amp/pre-amp/avr? That is the way to get true uncolored music as the producer intended, IMO. It should shut down all the extra circuitry that can taint the sound. It would also eliminate the sub from your channel.
