Apparently No 1 album in USA on various classifications including Rock. Much deserved.
Hope he makes lots $$$ but stays small enough for me to continue to get tickets to his shows.

Zac Brown Band covered Dress Blues on their new cd, called Jekyll and Hyde...so rest assured Jason will make buckets of cash off that :)

Was able to catch a free show by Isbell the other night. Absolutely incredible. Great playing and sound from the whole band. They just seem to love playing music. Jason had some great stories and you can just tell there's not an ounce of bullshit, whether it's lyrics or the between song banter. He just gets it.

That sounds like quite the departure for him. Alt-country is in good hands this year with Ryan Adams' latest, Andrew Combs has a new album coming in April with a great single out now, and now Isbell. Good stuff.

He posted on twitter that he's five years sober. Love that he got his life together. He's way too talented to become just another musician who's gone down that road.

So excited for the tour, EP, and album "later this summer" according to his Facebook! I'll be in NYC for Dead and Company on June 24th, so I'm hoping to get tickets to his show at the Beacon Theatre on the 23rd for my dad and me. That'd make for a freaking fantastic weekend.

Album "later this summer", so here's to hoping that it leaks on the same schedule as Something More Than Free...we'd have it by April or May based on that. The last album leaked SUPER early.

I love that he tours pretty much all year, every year. Just saw him in October and will see him again in June/July.

I feel like it's an unfair comparison, but I think Jason and Amanda are the Johnny and June for this era. Sorry Tim McGraw (and your horrible When Stars Go Blue cover) and Faith Hill.

I actually prefer when his wife plays with him. There's just a different vibe about those shows.
