So excited for the tour, EP, and album "later this summer" according to his Facebook! I'll be in NYC for Dead and Company on June 24th, so I'm hoping to get tickets to his show at the Beacon Theatre on the 23rd for my dad and me. That'd make for a freaking fantastic weekend.'05 - TO, '06 - TO 1, '08 - NYC 1 & 2, '09 - TO, Chi 1 & 2, '10 - Buffalo, NYC 1 & 2, '11 - TO 1 & 2, Hamilton, '13 - Buffalo, Brooklyn 1 & 2, '15 - Global Citizen, '16 - TO 1 & 2, Chi 2

Album "later this summer", so here's to hoping that it leaks on the same schedule as Something More Than Free...we'd have it by April or May based on that. The last album leaked SUPER early.0

I feel like it's an unfair comparison, but I think Jason and Amanda are the Johnny and June for this era. Sorry Tim McGraw (and your horrible When Stars Go Blue cover) and Faith Hill.0

I actually prefer when his wife plays with him. There's just a different vibe about those shows.ledvedderman said:I feel like it's an unfair comparison, but I think Jason and Amanda are the Johnny and June for this era. Sorry Tim McGraw (and your horrible When Stars Go Blue cover) and Faith Hill.

It's RSD only. No pre-order, unfortunately.LukinFan said:Does anyone know anything about his live album coming out on Record Store Day? Can we preorder it?
Copying and pasting some info on it.....
Jason Isbell And The 400 Unit – Live From Welcome To 1979 [12”] (limited, indie-retail exclusive) 12″
Isbell just announced that he and his band, The 400 Unit, will be releasing a vinyl-only covers EP for Record Store Day in April. The EP is called Live from Welcome to 1979 and was reportedly recorded live and “directly onto lacquer” at Nashville’s Welcome to 1979 studio.
An official track order for the EP has not yet been announced, but confirmed tracks include “Can’t You Hear Me Knocking” and “Sway” (both originally performed by The Rolling Stones), John Prine’s “Storm Windows,” Candi Staton’s “Heart on a String,” Bruce Springsteen’s “Atlantic City,” and Drive-By Truckers’ “Never Gonna Change.”
Isbell fans will be familiar with his takes on several of these songs. “Never Gonna Change” is actually an Isbell original, written and recorded while he was a member of Drive-By Truckers. He performs the song regularly as part of his live sets. A cover of “Heart on a String,” meanwhile, appeared on Isbell’s 2011 record Here We Rest, while Isbell and Ryan Adams teamed up for a take on “Sway” last summer at the Outside Lands festival in San Francisco.0 -
So basically, some stores will get it and others will not? It's all about luck?jjflash said:
