On sale in January. Ticketmaster usually.
The past few years have been easy to get. I have a feeling this time it will be more difficult.

My best guess would be the Foo Fighters in 4 years, but I think they're the last of the big rock bands.

Not so much a joke, the name just needs to be changed. I love 2pac, I wouldn't consider him Rock N Roll of course. He does more than deserve to be in a music hall of fame.

100%. Be great if they do a 10C show the night before.

I'm thinking the old Cbgb's spot since the label has an association with Varvatos and they do shows there for special events (saw Gaslight there) . Or back to Irving plaza
    Marquee 91
    Wetlands 91
    CBGB 91
    Roseland 91
    and many, many more

their inductions seem to make no sense. of course it's all subjective, but some artists getting in at all vs some artsts who either don't or take years after first eligible makes it kind of a joke.

I could go either way on the name. I think most things started from RNR (except country, hence their own hall), so the name fits.

Tool, Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Stone Temple Pilots, Beck, Dr. Dre and more notable names all become eligible next year. I'm sure someone's bound to get in on the first try.

I'd say all those except STP are good bets. STP was good, but not groundbreaking in the least.

I'm thinking Jack White could be a possible first ballot when he's eligible, as well.

And rock & roll started from the blues, which pretty much influenced everything that didn't exist before it.
Agree on the inductions having no rhyme or reason. This is Yes' 26th year of eligibilty, but only their 3rd time on the ballot? If they're eligible, why aren't they on the ballot every year? Strange.

Oh yah :) lol... Those bands were all big, but I never thought they were Nirvana/PJ big. I guess someone on that list has to get inducted though. Probably Dr. Dre :)

I hope Ed takes the mic, looks out into the crowd, scratches his head, and says:

"I don't know what this means, I don't think it means anything"
and then Stone thanks Dave A, Mike gives him a weird look, and they all walk off.

They already are. I remember first hearing them on Classic Rock radio almost 10 years ago when I was living in Edmonton. It's kind of sad because classic rock stations really only play the biggest hits bands have. So all you hear are the songs off of Ten :( Once a while if you get lucky something from vs or vitalogy, but 25 years in, and they still lean so heavy on Even Flow, Alive, and Jeremy :(
