I remember the debate for ROY in 2010 between Posey and Heyward. they got that one right.

Why? They both had stellar rookie seasons. How they are performing in 2016 has absolutely nothing to do with 2010.
Hayward def stuck it to the Cubs his rookie season. I believe we played the Braves in the second or third series of the year, and he came out like gang busters. Also, bares mentioning that Coghlan was ROY the year before that.
Was the 1st series of the yr, jhey took big z deep in 1st ab, 1st pitch i believe.
I was at that game. so much hype and when he hit that HR it was as loud as anything I have heard. Z lost his cool as usually. I booed him from my seats on the 3rd base side as he was walking back. that was the beginning of the end for him.

Yeah. Head case. He always had a bit of a problem, but I would have never imagined the complete collapse that he had. Interesting that he was at Wrigley the other day. Wasn't sure how the organization felt about him at this point.

Head case, for sure. Small soft spot for him though as I did witness him throw a no hitter. Still probably my favorite mlb game ive been to. That or gm 2 of the 03 nlcs where we won big (sadly only home win that series)

Wow, awesome that you made the trip to Milwaukee for that game. Remember it like it was yesterday.

As for NLCS, tell me about it. I had WS tickets waiting for me.

Live in the Milwaukee area, Wisconsinite my whole life, but Cub fan all my life. Also went to the Monday hurricane gm vs HOU where Lilly almost no hit em too. 1 hitter, bloop single in the 7th. Have the ticket stub and a photo of z from the gm framed in my basement.

Missed the extra point on the 2nd one. We should've gotten a new kicker before the trade deadline.

Ha! Nice knowing that regardless of what happens Sat and Sun, they won't gain any ground this series. Tis much nicer seeing St Louis much clearer in our rearviewmirror.

Who said 27 Yankees, other than pundits after 5 weeks of the season? I think I've seen you post that same thing on here, the espn board, CBS sports. Keep up with your envy. We love that.

Woah! Easy cowboy...we're on the same side. I was merely saying it before Wobbie got to it. A mocking of the mocker. He is continually making that precise remark when the Cubs don't do something right. I've got nothing but positive vibes spread out all over this thread.

Yup, I'm excitable on the subject. Comes from having to live through 84, 89, 98, 03, 08. I guess, however, that your sentiments on the subject of that comment were the same - in a slightly more subtle way.

Dude, we've all lived through those years. I remember 84, I was 6, but I remember.

98 may have been the worst of all of them.
