    me too. I was just thinking the other day, as OUR NEW SINK IS DRAINING VERY SLOWLY, that I never had this issue when I lived with my male roommate years ago.

    Every time I get the "you never told me that" and I say "yes I did, I told you ___" His answer is "you probably told me when I was watching youtube videos. You know I never hear anything you say when I'm on my computer."
    Now if I was mumbling what an asshat he can be under my breath IN THE OTHER ROOM while he was watching youtube videos he would ear that!

    Selective. Yup.

    I agree that "Do you want to .... ?" is a bad way to ask for something to get done. However, I've learned with my wife to always agree to it because the second chore is always worse than the first if I say no.
