In this thread there have been multiple mentions of Jazzfest, and I think the new baseball stadium in NOLA?0

Toronto 1, 2011 was the best show I witnessed since 9/11/98 (and I ve been to a lot of shows!). The crowd and band were amazing/perfect. </blockquote

The crowd was not good that night. It was a great show but I'm still not sure how people come up with that. It picked up at the end but until then the crowd was pretty subdued.rylan said:Toronto 1, 2011 was the best show I witnessed since 9/11/98 (and I ve been to a lot of shows!). just take a look at Long Road from that night:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Udo8CIMJeBE
At the "we all walk the long road" bit at the end pretty much noone sings it back at Ed. From that moment on I knew the crowd was shitty. And it went on like this.Post edited by Dercheef on2006:Arnhem,Bern,Berlin

I hate the call back on long road, just let ed sing! I'm not sure what show you were at or what frame of mind you were in but I thought it the crowd blew away alpine that year.
I'll ride the wave where it takes me......0 -
Fair enough if you don't like the call back during long road. I was under the impression that Eddie was actually waiting for the crowd to call back at him but nothing happened. It was just an example to show where I thought the crowd participation was lacking. And when you read through the fanviews thread, while a lot of people say the crowd was great atleast half a dozen say it wasn't. I think a lot people got blinded by the great setlist and the high energy second encore. The rest of the night was just nowhere up there crowdwise.mcgruff10 said:I hate the call back on long road, just let ed sing! Crowd doesn't matter to me one bit, ever, as long as im not next to sone drunk fucking moron... I also think 99% of people's opinion of a crowd is their immediate surroundings, see drunk morons above lol0

I don't remember how the crowd was for the whole show but when Neil came out it was definitely the loudest I have ever heard a crowd react. Hands down. It was deafening.Dercheef said:

Agreed. That place was rocking at the end. And I also agree with my2hands about drunken morons and the section you are in. I was in 5th row center ice on Stones side and that section def sucked big time. Anyway. It obviously doesn't matter one bit what I thought about the crowd that night. It was an incredible show.eddiec said:

Not yet. Indy and Detroit have come up but nothing yet for Ohio. Although the last time PJ played Indy was 2010 and both Cleveland and Columbus were on that leg. So if the Indy thing turns out to be true I would think at least one of those two cities would be included.Weston1283 said:Just got back from being out of the country for 10 days... I think you can get a good feel for the crowd as a whole based on the sing-alongs and Ed's reactions during the show.my2hands said:Crowd doesn't matter to me one bit, ever, as long as im not next to sone drunk fucking moron... If you are in a section where people are really into it definitely enhances an already great experience.0 -
I will never understand the burning desire people have for them to come to their town. They were just at Pittsburgh, Buffalo, and Cincy, Ohioans are as lucky with shows as any region. Tickets are easy to come by, the shows are always top notch, and you can hit multiples wit just a few hours driving.Weston1283 said:Just got back from being out of the country for 10 days... That was the loudest I've ever heard a stadium, when Neil came out. What a moment, the crowd lost it's sh*t that night!eddiec said:

The MSG 2 '10 and last two Spectrum shows were the loudest I've ever heard crowds for any show. Also 3 of the best concerts I've ever seen in my life.... Maybe I'm just spilled being on the East Coast but that '13 Seattle show I thought would be on the same level but the crowd as whole was very laid back. That definitely held it back from being a top notch show.'08- Camden 1-2 '09- Chicago 2; Spectrum 1-4
