Yes they did. I am not arguing that. Just turn on Fox News and see that. But fear mongering is how some people win elections, especially less democratic ones... But it's extremely naive to not learn from world issues and act like everything is fine and we live in utopia... You must be a Democratic voter and believe socialism is the answer. Just keep creative big government, spending more taxes, and giving away money to welfare.callen said:
Huh? So republican candidates and republican governors didn't stumble all over each other to make news capitalizing on fear? Denial.PP193448 said:Terrorism is not a Democratic vs Republican debate. WTF is wrong with some of you crazy Right wing and Left wing people. Where are the middle people? Why does common sense and morality not guide political parties to the middle? I would say that there needs to be a Repeublican and a Democratic combined Co-presidency because there is no 1 perfect candidate in either party!!!
I would relate myself to being independent. I am not easily swayed by fear.
Back on track. Round up all the terrorists. Good for the French people.
Democrats believe socialism is the answer? How? What types of socialism do you agree with and/or participate in? Do you live in an area covered by police, fire, public schools, public libraries, and public roads?
You criticize the democrats for the very things that you cherish and accept from republicans. You make no sense at all I'm afraid.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)

Sure I benefit from all of that. What's your point?? I pay taxes for some good government purposes that I believe work for society. But take the rest of my money I work hard for and get your free medical care, create more useless government jobs, and put more into the Medicaid gaming system... Oh and let anyone come into America whenever they want, and allow them to game the system too. Just vote for Bernie Sanders to have 90% tax. He will make a great president.
Anyway. I'm done. Carry on with the Paris discussion. I don't make any sense.

This is the huge problem with the current state of political discourse. When you can only see conservative critique of current policy as trying to capitalize on a tragedy instead of an actual discussion on how to proceed then we as society will never succeed. You must put aside your cynicism and general contempt of conservatives to actually listen to the arguments they are trying to make. Again to suggest that people are happy about this attack because they might achieve an electoral advantage is beyond the pale.rgambs said:

Google state department refugee program. BIG difference than being here already seeking asylum vs refugee status from over there. First UN makes a determination. Then 3 US Depts vet over the course of 18 mos to 2 yrs.PP193448 said:

I'm pretty sure those Syrian refugees are given some of the toughest background screening process of ANYONE entering this country....PP193448 said:
Would you personally take in a Syrian refugee actually into your own home without any appropriate background check to verify no connection or support for radical Islamic beliefs??? If so then send Obama your address.Gern Blansten said:
I have listened to plenty of their idiotic arguments.BS44325 said:
This is the huge problem with the current state of political discourse. When you can only see conservative critique of current policy as trying to capitalize on a tragedy instead of an actual discussion on how to proceed then we as society will never succeed. You must put aside your cynicism and general contempt of conservatives to actually listen to the arguments they are trying to make. Again to suggest that people are happy about this attack because they might achieve an electoral advantage is beyond the pale.rgambs said:
Have you been paying attention to the things they have been saying? How could you see them salivating and tripping over themselves to capitalize on this politically and not think they are happy about it?BS44325 said:
For you to say "Republicans are sooo happy about this" is beneath contempt but I guess not unexpected. Conservatives are always enemy number 1 on the AMT.callen said:"Drilling for fear makes the job simple."
Republicans are sooo happy this fell into their laps.
Imagine saying Syrian Christians can come but not Syrian Muslims. Oh boy. Doesn't seem to be all constitutional now does it.
Here is a perfect example.
