    Yeah, no shit that's what they said. I think dignin's comment suggests that that wasn't the REAL reason... and I absolutely, 100% agree. It is laughable that anyone would believe that the Conservative government, of all things, cares about our privacy. You didn't really fall for that line, did you?

    Now we can go back to making policy and money decisions based on evidence. Something the conservatives had no interest in....it's all about their ideology and how they think the world should be, not about how the world actually is.

    I applaud Trudeau for this decision. Hopefully one of many made to get us back to a society based in reason.

    No it was voluntary.
    No it wasn't. I actually remember people who refused to do it being chased by cops. it was silly. But yeah, the short form was mandatory (i think it had a voluntary section attached as well though).
